This sucks. While he may not have the speed needed for the new rules, he's one of our only guys to go in front of the net to screen goalies. I'll be sad to see this great leader go. I doubt any team will pick him up so this will probably be a retirement for Dave.
GM Jay Feaster did say on a radio show today that if he clears waivers the Lightning could bring him back if we get a lot of injuries. Don't know if Dave would want to come back.
