Hey! It turned out about even, as we both made the playoffs. I just got unlucky that my team hit a bad patch! But then considering the W league had a finalist who had Priest Holmes in his lineup until the very end, I'd say things went a bit crazy there ;) | whatever

I didn't do too badly on the AFC side, just missed on the Bungles (predicted the Ravens) and Broncos (picked the Chargers). Can't believe I underestimated Cincy that badly and overestimated Baltimore that much. My NFC predictions however were a joke - I only predicted Carolina correctly. | dunkndollaz

Here are my thoughts:
Wildcard
Carolina over New York - I truly believe Carolina has the better team here, but it really depends on which Panthers team shows up. Do we get the real Panthers who we saw crush the banged up Falcons last Sunday? Or do we get the fake Panthers who forget to run the ball, and forget to shutdown the other team's playmakers on defense? Double-team Plaxico and load eight in the box and I think the Giants are done.
Washington over Tampa Bay - Just how good is Chris Simms? Double Galloway and load eight in the box and make Simms beat you. I don't think he can.
Jacksonville over New England - This year has finally made me a believer in Tom Brady. The Pats have looked terrible, but he's managed to gut out enough wins to get to the playoffs. I am such a believer in Brady that I've been convinced (along with the rest of the world) that there's no way they drop this game in Foxboro. But looking at it, it occurs to me that the Patriots are still a really banged up team that are pretty lucky to be here. I think the Jaguars come out and surprise everyone with an aggressive attitude that causes the Patriots to fall apart in the 4th under the pressure.
Pittsburgh over Cincinnati - I almost called another 'upset' here and picked the Bengals. But run-first teams with strong defenses win in the playoffs. Better luck next year, kitties.
Divisional
Carolina over Chicago - With Grossman under center Chicago becomes that much more dangerous, but the Cats should be ready for this revenge game, even in the cold.
Washington over Seattle - Eight in the box and double Jurevicious. Alexander's been the workhorse for this team, but they've looked rather poor when matching up against winning teams. Seahawks bomb out of the playoffs again.
Denver over Jacksonville - The Donkeys get their first playoff win since '98 by running the ball and playing good defense.
Indianapolis over Pittsburgh - The difference maker in this game is how well Edge runs. The Steelers can make Manning pay for going to the air, but it will leave holes for Edge to run through. Steelers keep it close, but can't get it done on the offensive side of the ball for the win.
Conference
Carolina over Washington - Eight in the box, double Moss. Brunell eats turf too much to get much done.
Denver over Indianapolis - Revenge Revenge Revenge. Denver runs the ball and the Colts can't stop them. Manning doesn't have enough possesions to break the Broncos defense.

CONFERENCE TITLE GAMES * Colts over Patriots in the game of the year * Bears over Seahawks in a pretty unlikely NFC title game

| #18 Posted on 6.1.06 1959.59 Reposted on: 6.1.13 2001.50 | This board is bringing just about as much hate to the Bucs as the media. We won our division, swept Atlanta and dominated Carolina in their own stadium. Seven out of the 12 people who have made picks so far picked the skins.
I can't say I'm not happy that the media is all over Joe Gibbs jock. Our #1 league defense is getting no respect and no pub. The last time that happend was when Michael Vick came to town for the first time. Needless to say we knocked him out of the game and won handily.
The skins have a beat up secondary with Rogers coming back after a three game layoff and Springs most likely out for the game. Galloway will burn them and Hilliard, Smith and Shepard will make some big plays.
Caddilac is healthy now as opposed to the last game between the two teams snd he will have over a hundred yards rushing. Pittman is on kickoff returns and he will bust a long run but probably get tackled from behind. Mark Jones has been breaking long punt returns the past month and don't expect Saturday to be any different.
As for the defense. Whose your favorite player Mr. Derrick Brooks was not even close to 100% last time, and he will show that those points the skins put up were a fluke. Barber will be covering Cooley and Moss like a blanket and will shut them down.
The ancient one Mark Brunell better watch out for Rice, MacFarland and Dewayne Big Play White. Barber will add to his sack numbers with some blitzes.
By the way, I was the one who won the-W spread league. But like Texas Kelly you can call me a homer.

It will be revenge for the "Alstott did NOT get the ball across the plane of the goal line" debacle from some weeks back. Oh, how I'm hoping for this win for the Skins. After that, it's all gravy for me.
I'm amazed so many people have the Bears in the Super Bowl with their anemic offense.

| #20 Posted on 7.1.06 0918.13 Reposted on: 7.1.13 0927.01 | Wild Card:
Jacksonville over New England - if there's any time for the Pats to lose during their great run, this is the year in question. They were 10-6 in a division which started off very weak and I can't see them getting past most of the teams in the AFC (The Colts and the Broncos especially). I thinkt the Jags will win this one shocking everybody.
Cincinnati over Pittsburgh - It's all about who scores first. If the Bengals fall behind, they'll just try to score it back, but they'll then also have to deal with The Bus and company running wild. If the Steelers fall behind, they may abort the running game which has potential to destroy the Bengals. I think the Bengals have a shot. I also think this is the game which Carson Palmer will assert himself and firmly put is foot down as one of the best QB's in the NFL.
Washington over Tampa Bay - I think most people are looking at the nice winning streak the Redskins put up. I'm one of those people too.
NY Giants over Carolina - Tiki Barber shows why he is the REAL MVP of the National Football League.
Divisional:
Indy over the Jags - Too much talent on the part of the Colts.
Bengals over the Broncos - See above reasoning for the Bengals/Steelers game. Including the Palmer reference.
New York over Chicago - Barber puts in a good game, butEli manning realizes some of his potential and proceeds to shred a usually solid Bears defense.
Seattle over Washington - The Seahawks are simply a very good team, and Redskins run out of juice.
Conference: Indy over the Bengals - The Bengals make a great run, but lose in a close game which will feature 17,000 different ways how to amaze people with offense. I think this is the Colt's year.
NY Giants over Seattle - Another dissapointing finish for Seattle, as the Giant's will win with the run.
SUPER BOWL:
Colts over Giants in the Super Bowl. - The media have a field day over the Manning brothers being in the super bowl together. We get sick of hearing about it. And the Colts complete their season with a Superbowl win.
