Hey everyone,

In case anybody is interested, I came across a short clip of BG James and Kip James (formerly, the New Age Outlaws for those who may not follow TNA) giving their opinion on HHH.

Lots of "F-Bombs."

Also, this website has a lot of matches that you can watch (although many are poor video quality.)

Here is a link to Savage vs Bret Hart from SNME...

Aww now ... Orton does have charisma ... Remember the RNN updates? Orton's problem was exactly what was stated in the interview. Mind you I not an Orton mark at all, but people stopped caring about him when they wussed him out during his face run.

I would LOVE to see that entire interview.... Pretty funny when Kip says the "when he passes me on the way down" like that will EVER happen!

As with many of the guys who open their mouths about WWE and HHH, I'd be a lot more inclined to listen to these two if they hadn't a)benefited greatly from Hunter's influence and the past, and b)proven to each be about a quarter as talented as the man they're attacking. People in glass houses, folks.

Billy Gunn's claim to fame was the equivalent of yelling "YEAH, ME TOO!" after someone else did all the work. James was fairly charismatic, but only had one hook and was nothing special in the ring. This just comes off as bitter has-beens looking for attention. They rode off something that was carried by the ability & charisma of HHH & Waltman.

Anyone have a transcript or want to give a brief recap? Can't listen to that at work.

On the bigger point, certainly unfortunate. Always thought the Outlaws were tight with H.

That version of DX was so much the whole bigger than the sum of its parts. When Shawn went out, Hunter was midcard European champ, if anything the Outlaws were prolly a little hotter than him at the time (I think people don't give the New Age Outlaws for revitalizing tag team wrestling during that period. With WCW abolishing their tag division, the Outlaws were the first team in a long time to catch on with the audience. And it relegitamized the tag belts and allowed E/C, the Hardyz and the Dudz to take it to the next level.

But yeah, sour grapes. Both Gunn and James were marginally talented and made a great living off the WWE (Gunn especially), a little sad to be throwing potshots.

I'm going from memory (can't hear it at my work, either), but from what I recall:

BG James starts off calling Hunter a dick, which Kip James agrees with. Then Kip goes off on a rant about how he couldn't beat up Hunter or injure him when they were in the same company because he had a family to support and was concerned he'd get fired.

Then BG makes fun of Hunter's moustache for a bit, before Kip tells us that if he ever sees HHH ever again, he'll punch him "right in the fucking face." He says that Hunter is truly talented, but in his position, he should have helped guys like the Outlaws get over. Which, uh, is what he did, but whatever...

Then Kip accuses Hunter of being nice to the Outlaws to their face, and behind their backs, accusing them of drug use to the agents. Then Kip says that when HHH is on his way down, and Kip is on his way up, he'll punch him. Or something like that. Some more moustache cracks and that was the gist of it.

It's definitely sour grapes. How many times was Billy Gunn pushed to absolutely no one's delight? Road Dogg was also in a good position for much of his post-DX run. I just think you have to consider the sources here.

thanks, man.

the drug comment is funny b/c by and large isn't it common knowledge that Road Dog smokes out and gotta figure Gunn is at the least on the 'roids (not that Hunter isn't, but y'know)

both guys were known heavy partiers.

Billy Gunn and Ken Kennedy, identical twins? The world may never know.

Transcripted for the benefit of those of you with dial-up or other video issues... and for posterity.

Obviously if you've got your boss peering over your shoulder, scroll no further.

[joined in progress]

BG James: dare you, but Hunter was always... a dick.

[Kip James is nodding.]

BG James: Can I say that?

Kip James: Ohhh, yeah. If you don't, I will.

BG: And what's up with that freakin' moustache?

KJ: He's a fucking idiot.

BG: I-- I second that. I almost broke his nose one time.

KJ: You know, it's kind of-- for me, me personally, was to get along with them because-- Hunter, mostly-- because, y'know, whipping his ass would get me fired. That woulda got me fired. You beat him up, you get fired. You know, and I wasn't about to sacrifice, you know, the career that I had, and, and taking care of my kids, and my family at the time, for whippin' his ass. So we just kinda just, whatever whatever, just let it blow off. Just let it blow. But I promise you, I promise, I promise, if he were to come up to me and say something I would beat his fucking brains in.

BG: Yeah.

KJ: 'Cause he's a-- he's a no-good motherfucker! You know, if you-- and I'll say this, just to kind of level it down-- he's got talent! I don't take none of that away, he *does* have talent, and he *can* work, but when you can do that, why, when you can bring other guys with you and bring other guys to that point to make the whole company better, why would you not do that?

BG [while Kip's still talking]: Yeah, it's a team.

KJ: But when you have somebody that, you know, if you had, like, us, for example, wanting to get up to that next level, but he was always fuckin' jerking you-- jerking that shit right out from under you. You know, sitting there talking to you, "Hey, you guys are doing it great, you guys are over like a motherfucker," turn right around, "Hey, those guys are in the fuckin' bathroom shootin' shit, they're fuckin' smoking shit, they're doing"-- where the fuck, why? Why, why when you can let your talent speak for you, why do you fuckin' do that? Because he wants to sit on top, alone. That's all right, bad things happen to bad people, and that motherfucker'll pass me on the way down. You know, when he's not married to the boss's daughter, or he's fuckin' in trouble or something, and he fuckin' bypasses me in the airport, I'm gonna fuckin' knock his fuckin' dick out.

BG: And what's up with that moustache?

[Both laugh]

[Scene skips ahead a bit]

Interviewer: Did Hunter change when Shawn left?

BG: Uh, yeah, he just took the helm.

KJ: Why do we have so many fuckin' Hunter questions?

BG: Are you a queer for him or what?

[Brief overlapping which I can't decipher]

BG: Just becuase your nose looks like his--

KJ: Ohhh-- oh, that was so right.

BG: Do we really have to have so many questions about Hunter, because he's a fuckin--

Interviewer: No, we don't. Did you guys become closer to him at all after--

KJ: No, we never became closer to him at all, because he's a fuckin' cocksucking piece of fucking shit. And I don't know how to-- I don't know how to say that. I mean, I *do* now how to say that, and that's exactly how I'm gonna say it, but I mean it's-- we're not close to him, we don't *wanna* be close to him, well okay-- I don't wanna speak for you--

BG: No, *speak* for me.

KJ: I don't wanna be close to him, I don't give a fuck about him, he's a *bad* person, bad things happen to bad people, he stabs people in the back, and I'm not talking just us, I'm talking about kids that are good that are coming up. I'm talking Randy Orton, he fucked Randy Orton so bad it was ridiculous, and that kid is probably one of the premiere best guys that was coming up, and you're gonna lose the title because you have to do some movie, that kid steps in and was carrying it great, I mean Randy Orton is very good, and I mean very *very* good, great charisma--

BG: The acorn don't fall far from the tree.

KJ: Right, great charisma, great personality, good entertainer, and, and, and, he just fuckin' stabs people in the back. And he's just fuckin' garbage. He's just fuckin' garbage. And that's just the way it is.

I kept finding myself wondering what Waltman would have to say about all of this... assuming that he would side with Hunter as they seem to still be tight, what with the help with rehab about a year or so ago.

More than anything, while it was interesting to hear other people in the industry blatantly bash Triple H, it seemed more like Gunn was bitter about his own inability to rise to the top, whereas James kept sort of quiet knowing his bridge needed to stay as un-burned as possible.

The argument against Orton could go on endlessly, but his reign was booked in a very odd manner (similar to Cena and Angle now), and it was on the heels of a long trend of faces on Raw getting short-shrifted (ala RVD / Booker T / Benoit (Eugene, anyone?) / and then Orton).

cant believe i just saw this now. Billy Gunn could actually have gotten over if he was anything close to that charismatic as he was in this shoot tape...well, that and wear bicycle shorts with tight ref shirts tied in a bun with workman boots...only hbk can be forgiven for that type of behavior.

I'd like to just throw my opinion out there about Monty Sopp. I HATED the guy but I do feel he could have been used a little better. Mr Ass? That's stupid. The One? Pretty dumb. The NAO were a damn good tag team that got heat and what more do you want from any wrestler.

I don't get why they wanna shoot on Trips though, because it just isn't worth it and makes them look somewhat infantile and unprofessional. Save it until your 5o and do a shoot interview when your finally done with the business, and be a pro about it. Be a gentleman.

I'd say Road Dogg had just as much to do with Triple H getting to the main event as Triple H did with Road Dogg sticking around near the main event after Helmsley was the man for WWF. After HBK "retired", the NAO were the hottest thing in DX, not Triple H. And I think it stayed that way until DX spilt up, HHH turned heel and eventually beat Mankind for the title. After that, HHH was established on his own and the rest of DX came back to ride his heat.
