| So, I got this for Christmas. I only really wanted Vol 2 since those are the ones I haven't seen in ages. I've only had a chance to skim over VI, VII and IX, and these are just random comments...|
-I thought the whole entrance music licensing issue wouldn't bother me that much, and it didn't...it just confused me. I mean, yeah, I'm upset about no Demolition or Slick from VI, but the other ones made me go "huh?" Ones like Dusty Rhodes, Snuka, Bossman and Demolition (from VII). Anybody remember Demo's second theme - they changed it sometime in the fall of '90, I think (after Ax left)...slow, dark, brooding, no lyrics. They used it at VII against Tenryu and Kitao, but even that one got changed for the DVD.
-I can't believe they cut out the "Instant Replay" debate from VII (with VKM, Steinbrenner, Paul Maguire and the Bushwhackers). That was some pretty fun, corny stuff right there. I'm disappointed.
-I don't care what anybody says - WM IX was *fun*. The commentary was, dare I say, inspired (from all three guys). Everybody seemed to be having a good time. The matches and the atmosphere were fun, and it's the height of Evil Doink. I love this show.
JR: I've just been told that Sensational Sherri has been attacked by Luna Vachon back at the first-aid station.
EDIT: Actually, as far as entrance music, I just discovered that they edited *in* "Also Sprach Zarathustra" for Flair at VIII, so all else is forgotten.

| I got the whole box-set recently, and have been having a blast watching these. I haven't seen the first 10 or so in a while, because I have them from the old 1997 box-set, which was put on the cheapest tapes in the world and thus have been almost unwatchable since 2000 or so. |
The music-dubbing also made me scratch my head at times. Some of them I was expecting and others caught me completely off-guard.
Also, there's really no sense in getting the fourth box, as they've all been put on DVD, and 16, 17, and 18 are almost unwatchable with the blurring. No, I'm not complaining about it, because I realize there is nothing WWE can do about that. But just to warn others, I am not normally bothered by the blurring, but those three shows are real eye-sores now.
Overall, though, it's GREAT to have these shows on DVD quality, and I'm VERY happy that WWE finally put this out.
