Wow Reading through this thing realize, this is really positive. For a fed that I don't care much about these things are getting more and more positive.

Also this is really unedited as I just wanted to hammer this out and normally I cut more of my uninteligable garbage out and at least bother to spellcheck. But I just wanted to get this out before Christjams, and through the magic of Tivo and the internet I was able to accomplish that for you the reader...

WHAT WORKED:

The whole show was actually paced really nicely as they laid out the whole Jarrett wants to make sure all the heels are aligned with him against Sting story. Jarrett and Joe have a title v. title face off early in the show that was pretty cool and having seen AJ's match with Joe from last PPV where AJ worked fired up babyface who attacks before bell, I think Jarrett's chickenshit heel attacking before bell schtick could work well opposite Joe...plus Joe's nuty enough to be willing to take a top rope stroke. That said the whole Jarrett gets all the heels lined up behind him...didn't include Joe...Jarrett is really worried about where the Alpha Male stands but not interested in Joe....that sucks. For whatever comparisons people make between Jarrett and HHH, Helmsley is all about burrying the secondary heels and one of the things Jarrett does well is take a back seat to other folks...he doesn't burry the secondary heels. The whole Team 3D funeral segment was all about letting all the other heels take center stage...and with the exception of Joe...this entire show kind of really built up all the other heels as being really important putting over Monte Brown big...but also making Team Canada and Abyss seem important (its a shame that they have such amateurish managers that they kind of stepped all over this but still). For a promotion built around Jarrett...Jarrett is willing to let the secondary heels look strong.

Samoa Joe is working a feud with Jay Lethal so he’s gonna give him a ton…and for a complete TNA newcomer Joe gave Lethal way more than I expected. I mean I guess these guys are one to one with this being the rubber match. They do a bunch of Low Ki v. Red, Jackie Chan spots with Joe being slower than Lethal. I really liked the Joe holding onto ropes spot to keep from being Irish whipped. Joe's worked too strong to be Irish whipped in most of his matches in TNA but here he needed to grab ropes. I saw the Lethal win live and thought it was best match on that ROH show. The rubber match wasn’t in the same league but still enjoyed.

Killings “Ain’t no clique no more, no crew.I’m tired of being lost” I say it every week but damn does the 3LK/4LK angle consistently deliver the compelling mic work. This may have been the most compelling Killings mic work since his title run. It’s a damn shame they don’t have Marty Wright around to help him to get unlost in the brotherhood of socialism: Killings deciding that he has found himself and is no longer Willie Ricks but now Mukasa Dada while Wright sings “Ole Man River…that ole man River...He must know something…”…a damn shame.

Alex Shelley vs. Matt Bentley was better than I expected for a Bentley match. Bentley has added his uncle’s shitty “do a jumping jack/bunny hop to sell a punch” to his arsenal of crap. But this match worked and Shelley did a fine job controlling. I liked Shelley’s hand bite to reverse a suplex and that he’s really growing in a Vincent Gallo beard for this gimmick. I look forward to Shelley trying to get Shannon Moore to star in Queen’s Boulevard.

Dudleys vs. Diamonds in the Rough was pretty fun. Pre commercial break all out brawl post commercial break actual match. Holy shit is D-Von jacked...in a couple weeks he'll be bigger than Lashley. He looked pretty bad in the ring but damn is he jacked. In a fed filled with shitty shitty seconds, Siamond Diamond is actually good. I mean I remember seeing the TNA on FSN episode with Diamond vs. Jarrett...where Diamond did a leg slap for a missed superkick. Yeah for a missed superkick...I thought "Holy shit Diamond doesn't get the point of slapping the leg." For a guy in the buissness as long as he's been I thought he didn't get wrestling... But I was wrong about him as his timing as a second is really good. Every other shitty second in this fed has just awfull awfull interference, stooge in fear timing...but his timing is dead on. Buh Buh works face in peril well and the sections between him and David Young were really solid. Elix Skipper and Buh Buh trying to work STRONG STYLE was on some level a mistake. Fuck that..not just on some level a mistake...but in fact a giant fucking mistake that they never should repeat. I knew what they were trying to do and they failed at that...but what they actually accomplished was pretty cool. They worked STRONG STYLE so poorly that it came accross as really great AMERICAN PRO STYLE. As you had the heel throwing repeated weak shots on the strong face. So Buh Buh going "C'mon hit me harder"wasn't Kensuke Sasake taking a million hard shots and demanding more...it was Dusty grabbing a chair to sit in and telling the pussy heel "c'mon show me what you got". So I actually dug the results if not the intention...Tenay at one point refered to Elix Skipper escaping "into the mount"...as though he somehow cleared "Buh Buh's guard"....I hope that was just a bad call by Tenay and not that they were trying to work in some SHOOT STYLE exchanges as well.

WHAT DIDN’T WORK:

The Hebner twins? For real? Why? This feels like dumb thing Russo would do "ooh they're from the WWF they're stars...lets get them to cut a shoot promo...and wait aren't they brothers...sweet sweet incest angle...those always work...see we'll work this angle where they're fags and everyone hates fags but then it turns out that they're just brothers and there is nothing wrong with sticking it in your brother...why are you all looking at me like that..There's nothing wrong with that...umm um yeah plus there's Montreal..Montreal... It's a bunch of money angles...We need to bring in the Hebners." But I have a hard time seeing how anyone other than Russo could see money or usefullness in bringing in the Hebners. There really is no reason to bring them in...Are they going to run shows in Canada?

Rhino v. Joe Doering… Don Harris came out earlier as security. He’s legitimately tall and can kind of work a brawl and an ECW alumnus. What the fuck is the point of having two really short guys on your roster who use a tackle as a finisher?

While show was paced nicely and got over all the heels..it did also burry the faces. I have to put this on the bottom half because it really feels like the same mistake TNA has made again and again whenever they get money. They bring in the big name outsider as face that burries the rest of their faces. Christian, 3D, and Rhino looked completely secondary standing as challengers with the Scorpion emblem in the back. The same way Styles, Nash were made to look secondary next to Savage or Styles was made to look secondary next to Nash. You have semi over faces. Burrying them at expense of bringing in new big money talent isn't smart. Unless the big money talent is the Maivia or Santito (maybe Lawler when he gets released)...anyone else should be treated as though they are on the same level as rest of your faces not above....allies not leaders. I like Sting as much as the next guy but betting the house on Sting as though he were Maivia or Santito is a mistake. TNA has made this mistake enough times that you'd think they'de learn by now.

Like I mentioned on the top side, the managers/seconds in this fed are really amateurish. But when all in the ring together it was just glaring. I mean DAMN with the exception of Simon Diamond this really is a fed filled with awful awful seconds. I mean damn. “Ravens, Rhinos, and dumb beasts of the Serengeti”… Bah? Goth poetry that shitty won’t even score you the fattest Dead Can Dance fan. (yeah I’m gonna keep on telling that joke until I troll Dean into sharing his fat girl in alley behind a Peter Murphy concert story), “Ravens, Rhinos, and dumb beasts of the Serengeti”…Really? James Mitchell is calling other people out for having cheesy gimmicks? Mitchell really is the dad who wears a shitty elaborate Devil costume on Halloween where his nine year old thinks it’s cool but his twelve year old is just embarrassed. Scott DÁmore isn't even a poor man's Percy Pringle. He's a poor man's Royce Profit…Guys aren't fit to shine Nate the Rat's shoes. And then there's Gail Kim. Has Gail Kim always been this cross-eyed? I mean I’ve written a lot about how useless Gail Kim is but this is first time I noticed how ridiculously cross-eyed she is. Has she always been this cross-eyed or did she just buy Navin R Johnson brand fake lashes? They’re working some angle where Kim is upset because she thinks Jarrett cheated on her with Jackie Gayda? That makes no sense at all. Gail Kim is so cross eyed she looks at Jarrett and sees the Fabs. “Baby, baby calm down. That was Lane you saw with Gayda. You know me baby…the Gator's heart is only big enough for one woman...and she's you."

I really don't understand why they continue to have their no-name jobber matches. The Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal match was a very nice match and it didn't hurt Joe at all. Why can't they use Lethal, Amazing Red, Sonjay and other guys like that in their "jobber" matches, it would be much more interesting.

I was actually a pretty big fan of Michael Shane, and Petey Williams too, but I think the newer guys like Shelley, Aries and Strong (and obviously Joe) blow them away.

I know some people are skeptical about Shannon Moore coming in to feud with AJ, but they got me wondering where this is leading.

Absolutely. Alex Shelley is so underrated it's ridiculous. I'm kind of liking this whole "taping matches" thing...interesting to see where they go with it.

Anyone who's watched Raw in the past will recognize them and stick around to watch. ...yes, I know they're just refs, but still, it's a face that's recognized.

Funny; the only goth's I know who 'like' Dead Can Dance are fat goth chicks. However, now-a-days, it's all about the EBM psudo-goth/techno shit they like cause they notice that if they (try) to dance to it, they might lose weight because it's faster. You might think about changing the group to Apoptygma Berzerk, Wumpscut, or X Marks The Pedwalk. I wouldn't mind hearing the Dean story, in any case...

I thought it was just make-up giving her really bad 'asian fish-eye'?

They kind of have. Joe defeated Red recently. And Dutt was the first guy he beat when he debuted. They actually had a great match a few weeks later as part of the Super X Cup.

I agree. Shelley, Aries, and Strong are among my top favorites nowadays especially after I've started watching ROH. I think Shelley could be the next great heel X division champion. Unfortunately, Strong is still yet to win a match in TNA .
