Well, seems my home town can't escape what happened. Apparently, this time a pipe broke down causing water pressure to drop and untreated water may get into the system. By far, the most reassuring thing in the article was the following;
"At this point, certainly, there is not going to be a problem with anybody who drank the water," D'Allesandro said.
I heard something like that before. Oh wait, it was five years ago, May 2000. Finishing up my last year of high school. They said the water was fine back then too. Of course, following that my school was shut down and sterilized and I finished my final year of high school in a bingo hall.
SO maybe what that guy said isn't reassuring at all.
I love Walkerton. Much of the best times of my life were spent there, regardless of the nonsense that happened five years ago. I'm not holding what happened there against my memories of the town. Even if I got sick (and you never know, maybe I have damaged kidneys or something that'll kick in later in life due to bacteria), I STILL wouldn't hold that aginst it. The town doesn't deserve this. NO town deserves this. I hope they can all recover. By "they" I mean people and businesses.
Also, for those of you who pray, please keep my home town in your prayers. Last thing we need is another situation like before.
