This site is incredible! It's called The Chappelle Theory (chappelletheory.com) and it almost makes sense.

Maybe they thought his show was worse then what 40 years of Amos And Andy had done to the black community.

Has anyone else discovered this site yet? The Time line is pretty spot on, if you go back at think/look at it.

I read this a couple of days ago, and my favorite part was where Oprah got a clip of her talking to Dave Chappelle beamed directly to his TV. That must have taken a lot of money to pull that one off.

As much as I'd love to believe that Dave Chappelle was driven over the edge by a group of influential black people calling themselves the Dark Crusaders, I still have to think that Dave just cracked because he couldn't handle the pressure of people yelling "I'm Rick James, bitch" at him all the time. Not as fun a theory, but slightly more plausible.

The Oprah part is hilarious. I thought it was crazy when George Lucas got a hold of Oprah to let him know that he was unhappy with the Star Wars parody, but then it escalates into new levels of crazy.

I also like how diners sitting in the area were able to tell what Farakkhan whispiered into Chappelle's ear when he threatened to kill his father.

This would make a great movie.

Just the thought of all that was creepy enough to have me looking over my shoulder while reading it. That's a pretty twisted picture they paint.

I'm just wondering: CAN it be done in the way they described? They used Oprah's "local affiliate" and the founder of BET? It just doesn't make sense.

I don't doubt that Chappelle got a few people mad because of his portrayal of race relations, but it's about the most unbelievable theory there is.

Tom Joyner too - didn't Joyner kind of take Johnson's money and go to another home a long time back? And now Joyner (Who I loved to listen to back in the day) is on TV1 (is that a Johnson enterprise too?)

What I can't see are Bill Cosby and Farrakhan working together.

This was a great and interesting read though I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I can definitely buy Farrakhan doing something twisted like that though.

One theory though is that Chappelle saw that he had basically reached his peak and was about to deflate, maybe he just got too popular and felt it was time to stop.
