where should I start?

I ordered the Joe v. Kobashi DVD today.

What else is must viewing?

(I didn't want to name this "What ROH DVDs should I get?" because of the WWE DVD thread, heh.)

Start here (The W). Then see if the guy who started THAT thread ended up getting anything?

Well now is a great time to start since they are having a lot of sales. Currently the Buy 3 get 1 free sale is going into effect until this Sunday, 12/18 due to Final Battle this weekend.

Now is also a great time because I feel ROH is going through a rebirth period as of late and are putting on some of the best professional wrestling shows I can recall in a long time.

Good choice with Joe vs. Kobashi.

My other recommendations:

AJ Styles - Evolution Of A Phenom
AJ Styles volume 2
Final Battle - 12/26/04 show. Joe vs. Austin Aries for the ROH world title. Low Ki vs. Bryan Danielson
Nowhere To Run - 5/14/05 show. Features Austin Aries vs. The American Hobo Bryan Danielson for the ROH world title. CM Punk vs. Jimmy Rave in a cage match.
Enter The Dragon - 10/14/05 show. Features American Dragon, Bryan Danielson vs. Austin Aries in Danielson's first ROH world title defense. Also features Jimmy Yang and Roderick Strong. Joe and Lethal vs. The Embassy. Steve Corino and Colt Cabana vs. The Rottweilers.
This Means War - 10/29/05 show. Danielson vs. Roderick Strong for the ROH world title. Jay Lethal vs. Curry Man. Austin Aries vs. AJ Styles for the first time ever.

All those are out on DVD and are awesome shows.

There's this thread too. And after those, you're on your own. But I'd venture that there's something worth seeing in every show, even the awkwardish early ones.

And "At Our Best" has the bladejob of doom.

If you want to see exactly what ROH is about, there may be nothing better than WORLD TITLE CLASSIC. The sixty minute Joe v CM Punk match may be the best in ring work the last five years.

It's usually easier to recommend based on what a person likes to watch.

Still, here's some favorites for specific years:

2002: Nothing, for someone new to ROH
2003: Epic Encounter, WrestleRave, Tradition Continues, Main Event Spectacles
2004: At Our Best, Survival Of The Fittest
2005: Manhattan Mayhem, Nowhere To Run, Death Before Dishonor III, Redemption, Punk: The Final Chapter

Leads me to ask: does anyone here on the-W, in the year 2012, follow ROH?

I don't, but I'm glad it still exists.
