I just caught a few minutes on MSNBC where the showed the WWE arriving LIVE to entertain the troops. In the background, I caught glimpses of Mick Foley, Carlito, and a couple others, while they brought Cena and HBK to the mike.

Cena started and said "Thank you" to all the guys there.

HBK said the guys couldn't come back to the states, so they jumped on a big bird and flew all the way to bring the best of America to the best of Americans.

Cena was giving a shout out to some of the guys he'd a chance to meet already, and when asked about was he nervous being on the front lines, he said hell no, he's got the best damn security watching out for him, the US armed forces.

Too bad they had to cut over to a plane skidding off the runway in Chicago.

The WWE and the boys always come off real good doing these support the troops visits.

I'll tell ya-- while WWE gets a lot of publicity for it (and some might even go so far as to consider it a "publicity stunt"), it's a damn good thing they do for our troops, who always seem very, very pleased to see them. What better way to support our fighting men and women than to put on a wonderful show for them?

That's one of those things you can point to with pride and say "That is one of the reasons I support WWE. And don't denigrate my choice of entertainment when you know there's no way the NFL, NBA or Major League Baseball would ever dare to do the same thing."
