As if things couldn't get worse. He's got one of those pesky Lis Franc sprains, which seem to be a pain in the butt to heal.
The non existent running game got even more worse now. I'm really hoping the next few weeks show Andy Reid who he needs to dump and who he needs to keep. There's nothing left to play for but pride, and if somebody's dogging it, give the position to somebody who's trying hard. | Promote this thread! | | redsoxnation

Hopefully, the Eagles lay down again this week. And, there always is draft position to play for. Each win at this point only knocks them further down in each round. | EddieBurkett

| #3 Posted on 6.12.05 2222.31 Reposted on: 6.12.12 2229.03 | I knew after the play with the sprain he was done for the year. Even if the injury is mild, I can't see any of the big names wanting to stay in there. This season is a complete wash and I hope Reid is able to make the necessary changes next year to fix the team. Specifically improving the WR corps (since Pinkston will once again be the #1 reciever, right?) and getting a good power back. I like Westbrook, but sometimes, you need someone who can just barrel through to get a yard or two, and Westbrook isn't that type of back.
Really, I'd like to see the offensive line revamped. I don't know if its all becauase of injuries or whatnot, but they've been drawing my suspicion all year. If they can be fixed, I think a few of the other issues might take care of themselves.
And to state the obvious, Mike McMahon sucks. | Jaguar

My entire receiving corps says hi. Amazed that sentiment escaped the giant masses of suck called Michael Clayton and Keary Colbert, as well as Javon Walker's knee ligaments. | StaggerLee

| #9 Posted on 7.12.05 1153.40 Reposted on: 7.12.12 1156.21 | Wow, so I'm not the only one whose team got completely destroyed by injuries this season...McNabb, Staley, and others. I had Hines Ward and one other receiver stay healthy, and the other guy isn't even good enough for me to remember who he was at this point. Oh well, I'm more of a fantasy baseball guy anyway.
As for Westbrook...it sucks for him, but it's more of a comical nail in the coffin for the Eagles than anything else. They're at 5-7, with games coming up against the Giants, St. Louis, Arizona, and Washington. They'd have to win four straight with Mike McMahon at quarterback (two against highly competitive teams in their own division) just to be in consideration for the playoffs, which I don't see happening. Their best case scenario (even if Westbrook had stayed healthy) would be to go 7-9, which wasn't gonna do it anyway. So the loss of Westbrook is more or less just the difference between missing the playoffs and REALLY missing the playoffs.
Regardless, what a really awful season. I have to feel for Eagles fans...I'd almost rather be in the shoes of a fan whose team was perpetually bad all season than to have to go through what they went through. | britishiles
