| #1 Posted on 4.12.05 1242.01 Reposted on: 4.12.12 1243.45 | Ok, heres the deal. I think my computer crashed the other day. when i got home, the desktop had totally changed back to the original, and programs had dissapeared.
i then rebooted, and it was still altered. so i accepted that it had crashed. (damn roomates).
but, then i turned it off, and a few hours later, came back home and rebooted. programs returned, but still stuff missing. my desktop was returned as well.
only one thing. i have a picture of my dog for my desktop. the folder i kept that picture in is gone, but the picture is still on the desktop.
i can't find the picture or folder. any ideas? | Promote this thread! | | acrid 2.0

C:\Documents and Settings\%YourAccountNameHere%\Local Settings\Application Data
Good luck!
Btw I don't think your pc crashed, one of your roomates probably messed around and did a System Restore (Restoring your computer to an earlier configuration) or something... | dropmailnotbombs

C:\Documents and Settings\%YourAccountNameHere%\Local Settings\Application Data
and there is no \Local Settings folder to be found.
