Scrubs returns January 3rd with back-to-back episodes, which NBC says will "continue weekly", which likely means that the 22-24 episode season will run for 11 or 12 weeks.
In the best news EVER, Joey is no longer stinking up Thursday nights, and the two-hour NBC block will now feature Will & Grace, the new comedy Four Kings, My Name Is Earl and The Office. Hey, two outta four shows being great there is better than NBC's been doing lately. | Promote this thread! | | Battlezone

But I like this new Thursday lineup, assuming "Kings" isn't lousy. I wonder if "Will and Grace" will be a strong enough lead-in for "Kings", though. The promos I've seen for "Kings" seem to suggest that it's really kind of a "guy" show, and "Will and Grace"...not so much. | Freeway

Well, Joey & Apprentice return after the Olympics...times and dates TBA, but likely on Thursdays again. | JustinShapiro

That is not the best news ever, because it means I go from a House/Office conflict to House/Scrubs and CSI/Office conflicts. Hey Aaron Zimmerman give me a dual tuner DVR.

I know I'm the hundreth person to say this and should perhaps wins a free t-shirt, but why not go All The Way with an Earl, Office, Scrubs, and I guess W&G since it's entrenched Must See Thursday comedy. Wait, not Will & Grace. Arrested Development. Now I get the t-shirt. (Actually, Brian Grazer of Imagine says a move to another network is "in the works. I'm hoping it`s in the works. ... I can`t tell you anything other than I`m hoping it works out in the way that we want it to. But I`m optimistic.")

I'm just hoping I'm wrong on that one.
EDIT: I can't count.

Elsewhere on Futon Critic: Scrubs has a 22 episode order. That's 2 per week, from January 3rd through March 14th...if they don't do any reruns or pre-emptions.
Also, Office's got a 22 episode order, and Earl's got 24. The Office has aired 9 episodes (the 10th will close out the 2005 run), and Earl's aired 9 also (the 10th also closing out the 2005 run).
Assuming no preemptions, the last new episodes air on March 23rd (Office) & April 6th (Office). That said, the Olympics run from February 10th to 26th, which spans two full TV weeks. | Guru Zim

I wish. I only have one tuner on my TiVo. You could put it in standby and then watch TV through your VCR or TV.
There are very few things I miss from working at the cable company, but that second tuner is one of them. | DrewDewce

| #8 Posted on 1.12.05 2030.18 Reposted on: 1.12.12 2030.55 | I have two dual tuner TiVos and they come in quite handy for situations just like this. The family was mightily impressed over the holidays at our ability to watch a recorded program while recording two additional programs at the same time, or just toggling between shows at the same time without missing anything (except commercials of course).
I highly recommend it. | thecubsfan

NBC has the Olympics next Feburary, right? Even though it's Italy, there'll be plenty of pre-emptions. So they could stretch that out till April.
I have a TiVo and a tuner on my computer. I think this makes me awesome. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
