IGN: Teen Titans TV Series Cancelled?
I still can't believe it's already been five years since Teen Titans first premiered and it's sad to see it go before its time, like many good TV shows nowadays.
I actually thought JLU would come to an end last year, so I won't be horribly distraught if indeed this does turn out to be the last hurrah. I, however, WILL be disappointed if Cartoon Network decides to play games and send it off with little-to-no fanfare. This is a show with continuity dating back to the early 90's and deserves better than to be shuffled off quietly into obscurity until it's cancelled. | Promote this thread! | | J. Kyle

As for Titans... DAMN. That show was one fire recently. Titans East, Doom Patrol, Red Star... at least it'll go out on top of its game. | Deputy Marshall

I was under the impression however that "Teen Titans" was pretty popular, so I'm a little surprised.
That being said, unfortunately I'm expecting Cartoon Network not to give JLU a proper send-off, considering it got pulled from the line-up so suddenly a few weeks back.

Two years, actually. The show premiered in 2003.

I don't know why the article talks about DVD release in 2006--we already have three videos. Maybe they mean complete seasons....

I'm not going to miss Teen Titans. I hated the style and juvenile nature of the show. I hated the bad wannabe anime conventions. The only thing I liked about the show was Ron Perlman's Slade (can't be called Deathstroke).
JLU realistically could've ended after the last season since that was a kind of show ending plot. But they kept it going anyway. Plus there's always the chance of the direct to video/DVD flicks. They've talked about doing one with Green Arrow and Batman for a while. | HairRaiser

Apparently WB is going to go back and release Season one as a single box (same with The Batman). That does sort of irk me given that Season 2 - Part 1 is out now, unless the Season 2 - part 2 disc comes out as well so I won't have to unload part 1 before buying the 2nd season. | ManiacalClown

I'd be satisfied with 90 minutes of Batman beating the crap out of Hal Jordan for no particuarly good reason. | The Vile1

I mean what they're doing right now is not too different from last year when they debuted JLU and then reran the first 5 episodes until the start of '05. Sure they aren't re-airing episode right now but once the new episodes start showing again I think all will be good in Mudville.
