According to WWE.com, it's over a road rage incident that happened in North Carolina last week. I wonder if his road rage is anything like his "crazy old man" schtick. | Promote this thread! | | CRZ

| #3 Posted on 28.11.05 2211.27 Reposted on: 28.11.12 2211.28 | Happen to be working here in Charlotte this week and the local stations are running this as the second or third story on the news.
Apparently Ric kicked and choked a guy in very heavy traffic on the SE side of town (and traffic is VERY bad there in the good times). During the story on the station I am watching now they showed some Georgia Championship Wrestling clips with Ric going against Magnum TA.
According to the story, Ric is out of town. Of course, we know he's in the hospital with the 42" Plasma TV. :) | geemoney

And, kicked and choked? No chops or Flair flops? Not even a cross knee breaker? Disappointing.

The driver said he noticed someone behind him flashing their headlights, so he hit his brakes.

I can't see Flair beating the guy up without imagining him strutting along the side of the road and giving out "Wooooooo's" to passing cars.

Maybe it's so that they can exercise more control over the news, but they're making it more of a story, accessible to more people, by confirming it on their website.
I daresay more wrestling fans know where WWE's official website is than, say, how to find Online Onslaught or Scott Keith. | Kevintripod

Still, I wonder how many times this guy is going to run into a reaction like mine.

The TV stations here are all reporting on a bunch of family (husband wife) problems, including abuse between Ric and his wife. It's possible it is old news, I don't know. But it is very interesting to me that this is the second or third news story on the evening news shows here. Does Hulk By Gawd Hogan (Whoooo) get this kind of coverage is Tampa? | Rudoublesedoublel

I agree 100%. Hell, if it had been me when I saw him I would have probably got out and either hugged him (in a manly way of course) or shook his hand. I would at least have tried to score an autograph. I'd even settle out of court, but he'd have to play a round of golf with me and sign my Flair DVD set. |
