Of course, we'd also heard Batista was OUT, and clearly *that's* changed since then, too. I guess my point is I wouldn't put this speculation above any of the other speculation at this point. Meltzer has said the plan was to do a HitC match as a followup to tonight's Randy Orton/Undertaker Buried Alive match - except, since everything's scrambled on that side, they aren't having that match tonight. So while that match dould still happen at Armaggedon, they probably aren't still sure.
They probably also have no idea who'll be available for a Elimination Chamber match in Janurary at this point, but they seem to want to do big gimmick matches around the Rumble, because they're tougher sells. | Freeway

Well, Batista's injury was announced on WWE.com something like 2 weeks ago (I'd check the date, but I'm a lazy guy)...and the ads just started running on Friday, suggesting that these plans are the plans they're planning on following. | Tribal Prophet

They could have been drawn-up (was anything new filmed?) and put together a few weeks ago with a start date of Friday. Without knowing when they were started/finished, there's no way of knowing if Batista's injury was known then.
