Well, the first segment was pretty jam-packed. I much prefer Smackdown's team to get the win over RAW....Murdoch/Flair was kind of entertaining....I liked Bischoff's line about taking the garbage out and JBL still being in the ring....Angle/Benjamin was a decent 8-minute match, but I hate that they're putting Daivari with him. Really distracts from the good-great matches he can have....Cena's backstage segment was all-right, but the England fans certainly weren't buying into him....

Triple H/Venis wasn't so much a match as it was a brutalization. Clear in getting Trips' point across though....I thought the two hooded men were in cahoots with Victoria. Perhaps Steven Richards? But no, it was just MNM....Michaels/JBL was very average, and it looked like JBL has put on some weight....

I'll might get banned for this later, but I do know who this is based on the sheer amount of ellipses (sp?). I won't spoil it, but I just had to share that I finally got one.

Hey, at least I know someone reads my posts (or skims them)!

I too think it seems wrong for heels/faces to team up against the other side. I was okay with it at first because the brand vs. brand is bigger than the individual feuds, so it's nice to see the guys band up for a greater cause. But there's just something weird about seeing Batista and Orton work together. Same with Carlito and Shawn Michaels.

It would be a little better if they at least teased some tension amongst the gangs based on past feelings with each other. And what I wouldn't give for Cena and Angle to replace Carlito and Masters on the RAW team. Smackdown seems to have the edge in talent.

I also like the build between Angle/Benjamin. Hopefully, this blows off at WM.

With Angle as the defending heel champion? I'm with you there.

And hopefully as Angle's last run with the belt before a graceful retirement. We don't need another Dynamite Kid. As much as he'll be missed, Angle doesn't have much longer in this business.

I'm in the minority... I love the fact that the top five on each team (well at least the five alligned from each brand) are putting everything aside to fight when they have been called upon. I see it similar to war, when the countrymen are needed the countrymen respond to fight for their country. Does every solider believe in President Bush? I highly doubt that, my brother is at war because the powers at be are doing what thye believe is something neccesary and he is willing to put his personal beliefs aside and fight for that. I really like seeing Orton hype up Lashley, disregarding 'face or heel' and just being a Smackdown employee trying to best prepare the people his health might very well rest on.

I really like this SD vs. RAW build for Survivor Series and am much more into this PPV then the majority.

My lord, can people whine any more?

Two months ago people were pissing and moaning because they were tired of the same old match ups, this week we get some good matchups and some interpromotional warfare/story lines and all some of you can do is complain.

The whole Raw vs SMACKDOWN thing was put down because nobody seemed to care about thier "brand". Now that we have wrestlers siding with their brand, over the other, and putting aside petty differences for thier brand's own good, people are complaining about that as well.

Just watch the frieking show and enjoy the action, try to get into the story line and stop bitching about every little thing that YOU wouldnt book if you owned the company.

Hell, Flair vs Murdoch was a good, old school wrestling match, with plenty of action and Ric cheating to win. Yet nobody can appreciate that very much.

I just dont get 'fans' anymore.

A couple of thoughts here.

Is the Flair/HHH match for the IC title? I don't recall them ever mentioning the belt since the match was announced. All I hear is last man standing this, last man standing that. Talk about totally degrading the meaning of the arguably the most important non world belt.

Flair v. Murdoch? What!?! Why are you going to job out one half of the #1 contenders to the tag belts? How are we supposed to believe that if Murdoch cant beat Flair he has any chance of doing anything against unbeatable monsters (WWE terms not mine) in Kane and Show? Obviously they are trying put over Flair and HHH big for the match at SS. But i figure there had to have been someone not on the up they could chose for Flair like they did for HHH with Venis.

I liked the Cena segment personally. I had a few laugh out loud moments. I know alot of people here hate Cena and everything he stands for, but I'm sorry it was entertaining.

I did not watch SD! 2 weeks ago so I had no idea that Edge brought out Kane during the sneak attack. I guess WWE is now pretending the whole Lita & Kane marriage never happened.

Anyone else think they sent Lawler backstage to look for Trish as an excuse to see how Styles and Coach worked together as a 2 man team? That was the first thing that popped in my mind.

Overall was a decent show, nothing too bad. Angle & Benjamin was a good thing to see and I hope they are going somewhere with it. I like seeing the cross brand matches but I do agree that it is kinda counter productive having people who are supposed to hate each other act as pals one week and go back to hating one another the next. FFS WWE just drop the brand split.

Actually, they explained it in a storyline a few months back after they fired Matt. They did an injusry angle that took Kane off the scene for a while as well, think it was near the beginning of the summer.

Yeah, regarding the whole Kane/Edge/Lita thing, I find it helps considerably if you deactivate your logic sensor while thinking about it. When Matt Hardy was "officially" brought back by Vince McMahon, he said that the whole Kane and Lita marriage thing was a storyline, and that Lita had still come home with him every night-- up until he legitimately started cheating on him with Edge. Which, obviously, is the truth, but it rendered a few months of Kane's most recent storyline pointless, and some of the loose ends still haven't been fully explained.

On the other hand, I'd much rather have Kane as the unstoppable monster who nearly took out the World Heavyweight Champion than as the guy who raped Lita at her request rather than continue to hurt Matt (and "took steps to ensure that she would get pregnant"-- as if men are the only gender that could possibly have any access to contraceptives).

Hey, the "sit back and just enjoy the show" argument. Also known as the "swallow the shit they're shovelling you w/ a smile on your face" argument. It's not like the company is putting out non-stop top shelf entertainment. There's plenty of legit complaints to go around.

Probably because the match wasn't very good. Murdoch, outside of his facial expressions, looked terrible. Plus, he botched which knee he was supposed to hurt. He took down his right knee pad, instead of the left. Work left, Trevor! That was the worst men's match of the night.

Snitsky is
Hawkman pre-Geoff.

As for Stagger's suggestion of "sitting back and enjoying it" I have a few of my own.

Triple H/Venis. Heat.

Flair/Murdoch. Heat.

Cena backstage? Five minutes shorter.

The homophobic comments were unnecessary. Everyone would've laughed at the sight anyway. Yet I'm supposed to believe that a couple of six-foot tall three hundred pounders are supposed to sit there and take him calling them gay? Tomko was jumping Cena and beating on hi mat the drop of a hat not long ago. Snitsky too was a glorified guard dog. It's not that it's not funny, it's that it took too long to not be funny. Ok, Snitsky working his phrase in was funny. It was also out of character.

Speaking of out of character... since when did Orton/JBL give a flying god damn about Teddy Long and SD? Since when did Masters or Carlito say anything but "How High?" when Bischoff said "Jump"? Since when did EITHER of them want anything to do with Michaels aside from beating him stupid?

Not only that, but if you're supposed to be cheering for your brand (making them faces by default) what do you do when they're booked like the biggest dicks since the WWF during the InVasion?

What the hell do SmackDown fans do if Raw wins SS? Their Team has been booked like idiots (charge when you're outnumbered, stand around and wait while two seven foot guy lumber towards you) and/or pussies?

If it sucks, people will say it sucks. Two months ago, it was still half and half on sucking. It's no better or worse now. Except now, everyone's brand loyal for no specific reason.

Snitsky is Hawkman.

Did anybody catch Styles trying to get in a "OHHEDOESSUCK!" between bleeps after Kurt Angle won? I thought that was the funninest moment of Raw. I don't believe anyone here caught that.
