Anything about you that YOU think is normal, but when/if you tell somebody about, they look at you like you are crazy?

For me, its socks. I never wear socks more than once. I buy new socks each week. I figure I dont smoke or drink soda, so the money I would be spending on those items, MORE than pays for my new, clean sock habit.

I can't match you for crazy, I don't think.

About all I can think of is I don't walk on manhole covers, sidewalk grates, anything like that. I always walk around them. I figure sooner or later one will collapse and someone will fall in, and it's not going to be me.

I asked my wife if I had any strange quirks, and she said, "well, you get emotionally involved in wrestling."

Whenever I see a penny on the ground, I absolutely have to pick it up. I guess it's a big superstitious thing for me.

"See a penny, pick it up...all day long you'll have good luck", right?

My quirk: when I go to the movies, I stay until the VERY END of the credits.

Wow StaggerLee that definitely IS quirky.
You should bag them up and after a year donate 365 barely used pairs of socks to the local Goodwill. It might be worth it to see their face as you walked in with them.
I always said that if I won the lottery I'd never wear the same pair of underwear twice....(I've heard of celebrities doing this)

One of my "things" is lint filters. I work in a group home with two laundry rooms. Before my shift can begin, I have to visit each dryer and check the lint filters and clean them out if needed.

Also, even though I haven't worked in a supermarket in years, I still find myself "facing" the products when I'm shopping . (Ex. pulling the all the cereal boxes forward, making them even and lined up).

I've never seen "Monk" but laughed hard at the promo where he "evened" up the coffee pots despite the fact that one was regular and one was decaf.

I also pick up pennies, sometimes check change slots in a row of vending machines/payphones and check discarded scratch tickets "just in case".

I've never been tested, but I'm probably borderline OCD - though I can't match Stagger's sock thing.

Usual stuff - I have to sit in the same chair in meetings, I have different types of hangers designated for different articles of clothing, I have to wear certain clothing items whenever UK plays basketball, and I always kiss my wife 6 times (she counted and told me about it.

I don't like to sit with my back to the exit of any restaurant.

That's it though...unless my wife comes up with something.

OOOH, I have to face the exit too! Cant STAND to have my back to the exit. Not sure why.

Oh, and I give all my socks to my roommate, she works in a stable and she gets absolutely FILTHY stuff on her shoes/socks all the time. So, they do go to a good cause.

Besides, new, clean socks feel SO good on my feet!

I always carry pens with me wherever I go, always in my left pocket and clipped on to my pocket. I guess I just got used to doing it from school.

And I always read magazines back to front.

When I speed, I always go about 7mph over, because 5 miles over is too slow, and I think cops will be more likely to pull me over if I'm going 10 over. If I'm speeding on the freeway for over an hour or so and suddenly remember that I haven't seen a cop car, I knock on my wood umbrella handle 5 times.

When I stand up, I always pat down my back right pocket and my two front pockets. It started because I almost lost my wallet a couple of times due to wearing baggy pants. So I always check: wallet, cell phone, lighter, cigarettes, car keys.

If I'm waiting for a cashier to ring up my stuff and see a crooked stack of coupons, I'll straighten it. I think it's because I worked as a cashier for a year and always got annoyed when people would mess up the stacks of coupons or forms that we'd have to keep out therem.

If my hand, foot, or whatever brushes up against something, or I do something with said appendage, I do it with the other one as well. I'm also prone to a bit of the OCD straightening out of things.

Mine is that I'm a stage eater. As in if there's three things on my plate I'll eat everything in order and tend not to mix it up any. And usually it's entree before sides. The exception being that if I get a burger and fries I always eat the fries first.

I'm sorta like that too. I always eat all of my fries first, no matter what else is in front of me, and I always save the main entree for last.

That just makes sense. A cooled-off burger is still tasty. Cold fries are awful.

As for my quirks... well, I certainly talk to myself a lot. Pretty boring as far as quirks go, but it sure does annoy people.

- When eating alone, I *must* read something. Newspapers, novels, ANYTHING. As a result, I've read most of the books I own many times (due to being a fast reader).
- When eating, I always *must* drink something after taking a bite. EVERY bite.
- When at home, I must start washing my hands after I push the toilet handle but BEFORE the spiral fully flushes down (giving me little time to start washing my hands).
- When taking a dump, I bring something to read.
- Ditto on talking to self thing and on fries being ate first.
- A non-ditto on the socks thing. Only time I get new socks is for Christmas from my momma.

I probably have more quirks than I am aware of.

The one that comes to mind is that when I drink something from a large bottle or carton I always take an eneven number of sips. And if possible a prime number

Another weird quirk I just remembered is that whenever I use the microwave, I always have to put a "3" at the end of the instructed cooking time. If the food item box says to cook on HIGH for 5 minutes, I will punch in "5:03" on the microwave. I guess somewhere in my mind I feel that my food absolutely needs that extra 3 seconds.

That reminds me that I hate when someone opens up the microwave before it finishes and leaves the extra time just sitting there. I always clear it out whenever I see it.

DITTO. Man, that drives me nuts. It's really the only quirk I can think of right now, although I bet if you asked someone who knew me they could tell you at least one.

I think that comes under "annoyances" rather than "quirks". : )
