| #1 Posted on 15.11.05 1923.20 Reposted on: 15.11.12 1923.42 | I hope this is the right place to post it (I suppose it could also be placed in Movies and TV), but I just saw a preview for the Rita Cosby show on MSNBC announce that there will be a piece on Eddie and the WWF (with Vince) tonight at 9.
I didn't see it posted, so I thought some people might want a heads up.

That made me cringe a little bit.
Otherwise it was a good segment.
And Undertaker in a tux. HILAROUS.

Considering that I was just watching MSNBC half an hour ago, and the caption for a story about Bush retaliating against his critics was "PRESIDENTIAL SMACKDOWN," you'd think they wouldn't have made that mistake... | Deputy Marshall

| #6 Posted on 15.11.05 2239.57 Reposted on: 15.11.12 2240.11 | It thought it was a good segment for what it was. Kudos to Rita Cosby who avoided doing what a lot of other "talking head" show hosts would've done, which is to make the segment not about Eddy but about drugs. Sure, there was that one question posed to McMahon that he dodged, but it was sort of the cliche elephant in the room that needed to be addressed.
In addition to "Shakedown," the reporter doing the piece, and Cosby herself, kept referring to Chavo as Eddy's cousin. Hopefully Vince, and not Chavo, is the one that stepped forward and corrected them during the commercial break. It was a fitting piece on Eddy and very complimentary towards him.
Poor Chavo looked like he was still in a state of shock. I can't imagine losing someone that close and two days later appearing on nationally televised broadcast...or even appearing on one the very same night (or a taping) for that matter. I don't know whether to compliment Chavo or feel bad for him not getting more time alone to grieve.
Then again, since I found out Eddy died on Monday morning I don't know what the Hell to think about anything.

Thanks for posting the info on the show, I am glad I stayed up for the replay. | wannaberockstar

Perhaps it made it easier for him to deal with the situation by being able to talk about it (and his feelings) instead of keeping them bottled up.
Just a guess, of course.
I have to say that, while I don't really know Vince McMahon other then what I've seen on the tv show, he came off as very genuine and caring. I give him kudos for that. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
