Was anybody else underwhelmed by the Simpsons? It was just kind of there. I liked the Herbie Hancock "Rockit" reference, and Gorilla Grandpa with Dracular Hibbert, but I can't really remember much else about what I watched. Unimpressive Treehouse of Horror.

I've stated before that I don't like "The War At Home", so I'll let those who watched it comment. I still wish that "King of the Hill" would be in that slot in its final season.

On Family Guy, the Osama outtakes were uncomfortably funny, and then I watched in absolute glee when the Naked Gun music kicked in ("And don't let me catch you in Quahog!"). And, dang it, it was a pretty serviceable satire about the FCC. It was good to have the show back, and as usual, I'll watch the show again and find something even funnier.

I liked American Dad, but I thought it was a step back from what they were doing before baseball. Roger steals the show as usual with his alcoholism, and I like how Hayley's new Saudi boyfriend was stuck in 1995. Let's hope they actually come through with the "To Be Continued", unlike last time (I'm sure they will).

The Simpsons was disappointing. None of the three segments stood out for me. The best was the baseball opening with Kang and Kodos. I though the Al "Family Guy" Jean credit was funny, especially combined with Homer being in Family Guy later in the night.

Flipped over to the football game during The War At Home.

Family Guy was awesome, but I thought the Osama bit went a little too long, even for FG standards. The best part was Peter getting bleeped at the kitchen table talking to Lois.

American Dad was okay. Nothing stands out to me, but it was better than The Simpsons.

Was anyone else taken by surprise when American Dad suddenly ended in a cliffhanger? I know I was.

Family Guy ruled it last night, especially with Stewie vs. Osama. The FCC satire was perfect.

The Simpsons...yeah...doesn't rank up there with the best of the Treehouse of Horrors, but it still beats last year. However, the manhunt was awesome and watching Burns pick people off was hilarious. And I can't begin to say how much I laughed when Apu was reincarnated. "You can't kill a Hindu!"

Was last years the one with the Perfect Strangers theme played over Kang and Kodos? That made that episode right there.

You guys didn't like the Simpsons? Wow, I really liked last night's episode, and I'm no Simpsons apologist or anything - I think about 9/10 of what they've done in recent years has been pure crap. To each his own I guess, but I thought it had three solid sketches. My only complaint is the way they have guest stars just to have them (which is true of every episode nowadays). It just irks me for some reason.

The FCC deal on Family Guy was pure gold. That one hit all the right notes for me, especially the scene where they kept bleeping him out with the airhorn.

American Dad was OK. I can generally take or leave that show on any given week, but I thought this episode was pretty strong.

I really enjoyed The Simpsons too, BigSteve. The intro just set everything up for me put me in such a good mood that the rolling laughter just kept on rolling. Where we differ is that I loved Dennis Rodman's working off a speeding ticket. It poked fun at the guest star phenomenon while also having a wonderful absurd goof to end on. But I'm probably what some people would call a Simpsons apologist. I don't think I am one; I just imagine that the sort of people who rush to message boards after every episode to impress others with how many ways they can crap on The Simpsons would condemn me as one.

I was happy with the Simpsons on Sunday because they parodied two of my favorite movies, A.I. and Surviving The Game. The Family Guy/Simpsons potshots are great to watch as well.

I didn't watch anything else though because my Skins were playing the Eagles, but I hope Adult Swim will replay the Family Guy episode soon, because after seeing such great reviews for the episode.

Was there a confirmation of this or are you assuming it because Fox has pretty much let it die?

It is the last season according to Judge.
