If you really want to go all out on the conspiracy theories, you could note that it’s largely the IWC who are hearing about this. These are the same fans who otherwise would be voting for Matt Hardy. So by spending their votes on Christian, they’re actually voting against Matt, making it less likely he’ll be in the match!

I checked, and guess what? You can still vote for him! So I wonder if the webmaster is lazy or if this is all a stunt to get Christian more votes (doubtful)...

And somehow, it's all HHH's fault. But I'm still working on that part. :)

*Ahem* NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
As my picture at the bottom thingy can attest, I am one of the peepulation!
As my interest in WWE has been waning/being demolished of late, I am BEGGING TNA to grab the ball, pick my man up and give him a Jericho-like entrance and push him to the moon. They think the Dudleys were a big deal, but they have lucked into a SUPERSTAR being gift-wrapped with seemingly no no-compete timeframe.
[Costanza]This is like discovering plutonium by accident![/Costanza]
Honestly, I hope Christian/Jay Reso can go to TNA/ROH/Japan and ply his trade and get himself mega-over like he did in the WWE (despite zero big wins) and get some of the appreciation that is so overdue him.

UNPROVABLE CLAIM: Christian was more over and successful this last year than in any previous year he's been in the business.
SOMEWHAT PROVABLE CLAIM: Christian's semi-feud with John Cena from January through July quite likely led to a large amount of buyrates for Vengeance (featuring a Christian/Jericho/Cena WWE Title bout).
DEDUCTION: Christian sold merch, and contributed to buyrates in a significant way. He likely was in line to make more coin during his next contract. WWE may not have wanted to throw that coin his way, especially with the new influx of Legends contracts, the Diva Search contract(s), and the continued presence of folks like Triple H, Undertaker, Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley and the like, older guys with likely higher downside guarantees than the younger bucks.
We've not been told WHY Christian didn't sign the contract. Booking and/or money MAY have been a factor.

This is horribe news. Christian was becoming my favorite performer slowly, and his heat during the draft lottery era was great. He was really entertaining. A longer feud with Cena would have been tremendous. The fans actually started noticing too.
I've grown so bored with SD!, I always had this feeling that going there would suck for him. I loved Kurt Angle, but I found him boring for most of his SD! tenure. Staying at RAW would've been the best for him looking back with hindsight. Jericho left, HHH on vacation there would have been a lot of room for him to become huge. During this time we got tons of time for young guys, Murdoch, Cade, Masters, Carlito, Conway to an extent all got time to grow.
Ironically it's not even HHH who is eating up TV time these days, its the McMahons, Austin, Coach, etc.
I can't blame a guy for leaving when you go from main events and title matches to basically nothing at all. He's even gotten Velocity duty and losing time to the juniors. Although Super Porky was always funny when I saw him in an odd way when I saw him on spanish television.
And yes, I will miss Christian's theme ver, very much. It was one of the best new themes in awhile.

Yes of course we have to turn every thread into a "he can job to Jarrett" thread. Thing is I'd rather see Christian job to Jarrett and also see AJ, Joe, Daniels, Sabin, Rhino, Abyss, Raven, AMW, Dudleys than see Christian job to Orlando Jordan and also get to see Simon Dean, Heidenreich, JBL, Batista, Super Porky, Booker T, Undertaker, and the Boogeyman.

I don't think this is horrible news at all.
You know what's horrible? After becoming one of their most over superstars on the roster, WWE made Christian into a scrub. He was still over despite everything, but they would never give him any recognition or give him any big matches or wins. Did they not pull his merchandise from his hometown?
Look at his No Mercy match. He did JACK-SHIT in that match. He got ZERO offense in, all he did was job. If Christian really is gone, I can certainly understand why, he's not doing anything in the WWE. And its obvious they weren't going to do anything with him even when they should have earlier this year. His move to Smackdown didn't re-energize him at all as the booking was leading to in May. All it did was put him further down the ladder, while a broken down and deteroriated Booker T is US champion and feuding with Chris Benoit. Sorry, but that should be Christian, NOT Booker T.
I hope if Christian really has left it means he can wrestle and showcase himself elsewhere if he wants to do so. Be it, TNA or ROH.

I have kind of a love-hate thing with Christian. I found him to be a bit overrated(by web fans) as a singles, but this is nevertheless quite surprising considering how long he stuck through it. He has considerable talent and did deserve to be utilized better recently...though at the same time he's always kind of had things working against him for the prospect of him being a main eventer to be all that plausible. My interest in him would be renewed though, if performing with another promotion motivates Christian to step up his ring work(or maybe allow him to?).

Remember that mini-feud with evolution? Where he played job-boy to Ric Flair, who is like, a thousand and looks two-thousand? That was the moment I knew that WWE wasn't going to do anything with Christian. Anyone who thought, if they wouldn't put him over someone Flair's age, that he was going right into a series of matches with John Cena (which would have sucked, by the by, because all Cena can do is brawl, and Christian ain't very good at that) was littering and littering and smokin' the reefer.
By the way, he admitted to taking steroids, so we can stop with the "it's because he doesn't take steroids" stuff.
Christian was a guy who was middle-of-the-pack at best, and was never going to develop into anything more. Should he have gotten his opportunity? Of course he should have. He did all the right things, but bell-to-bell, he lacked credible offense and the intensity to make people believe in his work. If you don't do that, you're not getting pushed. This situation is not comparable to Jericho leaving WCW for ten million billion reasons. Not the least of which is that Jericho was clearly a star just waiting to explode, Christian is a guy who they could have done more with. I mean, so was IRS, but the culture of humanity is not poorer for what might have been there. Jericho was, and is, ten times as athletic as Christian. He was far more charismatic on the microphone and in the simple way he carried himself physically. And he was leaving one big oceanliner for another big oceanliner, not one big oceanliner for a surprisingly resilient canoe.
Now, will this break WWE? No. But it should make them think about the environment they've created. Christian has NOT been as vocal as Edge has, out of character, about wanting to be WWE Champ or the top guy. He probably knew that wasn't going to happen, it probably wasn't his goal. He just wanted to be appreciated. Despite all I wrote above about Christian, this is the first clear instance of them not being able to keep someone on board who is healthy and the fans dig. This should send them a clear message about the way they run things.

Since Christian is advertised for tonight's show and scheduled to appear on Friday's SmackDown!, they could've just reached an agreement for him to work Monday and Tuesday. Meltzer's comments yesterday in his news update indicated Christian planned on working both shows, but wasn't sure if the WWE would use him.

Although it's debatable as to whether it counts as "post-WWE", there's a new link on WWE.com saying "Was it an argument with Vince McMahon that caused Christian to quit WWE?" which takes you to the answer "No".
What he actually has to say is pretty cool, and "leaves the door open", but doesn't give any real answers other than hinting at the obvious presumed reasons.
