I'm not really going to go into a whole review thing here, but I figured I'd title this thusly so that there's no need to start another one. No real spoilers, so it's safe to proceed if you're going to watch on Monday, unless you're as anal about spoilers as I am.

Mostly, I wanted to talk about one thing. As you probably know, one of the matches at the PPV tomorrow night is a "Monster's Ball" match involving Jeff Hardy, Abyss, Sabu, and Rhino. As you probably also know, the "Monster's Ball" match is a weapons-encouraged match, but with the dumb-ass stipulation that each wrestler will be locked in a dark room with no food or water for 24 hours before the match. Naturally, all four wrestlers appeared on Impact tonight to promote their match, with Abyss and Hardy participated in a six-man tag in the main event, and the other two involved in a schmozz at the end of said match.

Except, wait a minute, hold the phone, back up! Impact now airs at 11PM eastern time on Spike. Which means that said main event got started at about 11:50 or so. At any rate, the show doesn't start until 11, right? And the PPV is TOMORROW, and it ENDS AT 11!! If you haven't figured out where I'm going with this yet, count along with me. Anyway you slice it, there will be fewer than 24 hours between the end of Impact and the start of the Monster's Ball match. So how the hell will they manage to lock them in a room for 24 hours between the two? ARRRGGH!

Now, look, I didn't fall off a turnip truck; I know that Impact is pre-taped. But I also know that there's no way in Hell these men are actually going to be locked in a room with no water for 24 hours, either, so kayfabe is all I have. And while this may all be pretty petty and stupid, nonetheless I'd like for my wrestling show to make SOME attempt to maintain some internal consistency, you know? (Hey, if Tenay actually explains that they were locked in just after Impact, so it's less than 24 hours, I'll be fine. Heck, if they just hadn't pretended that Impact was live and hadn't referred to the PPV being tomorrow a zillion times, that would be OK.)

Oh, and just think how much fun it will be for TNA viewers who catch the show on Monday night (when more than a third of the viewers catch it) when they spend an hour hearing previews, hype, and late-breaking news for a PPV that has already happened.

Oh, yeah, I likes me the TNA wrestling. It was a good show.

BREAKING NEWS: Meltz reports that Nash called 911 (not the wrestler tonight after feeling ill during the Fan Fest. He says Nash probably won't be able to wrestle tomorrow.

Might not be a bad thing. It would fit well with Raven's character and current storyline to have him force his way into the title match.

I am looking forward to the monster ball match because it will probably be a sick, high-spot filled match.
The idea of 4 guys locked in for 24 hrs without anything is ridiculous. I know I wouldn't be all about kicking ass after that 'ordeal', I would be crawling from the entrance ramp to the hotdog vendor. The stipulation makes more sense if the winner gets a big meal and a bed.

Other than that, looking forward to watching Impact later and watching the PPV as well.

Tenay said during the match that they would be locked up starting at midnight. I know, still not 24 hours, but they at least -- well, they didn't correct themselves, exactly, but they tried, a little.

Should be a fun match anyway.

Just watched the entire impact episode and imo it's the weakest so far. Everything was very predictable and not all that interesting imo. I don't think there was any build for the ppv other than the announcers that kept hammering.

UNTIL the main event. Suddenly there are messages coming from everywhere that shit will happen at Bound for Glory.

The main event itself was subpar until they all started brawling near the end, things picked up fast with all the moves and fake finishes. The match made AJ look like a thousand bucks and his partners were just there because they had some beef with some guys across the ring.

Did it make me care more about the ppv? Not in the least. But I guess it doesn't have to because some of the matches on there sell itself.

I could only hope that if Nash can't go, then Samoa Joe could fill in ... but it make more sense for Raven to get the nod.

Why does an AMW/Naturals match have to be cluttered up with a ref bump, Jarrett interference, Gail Kim nearly paralyzing herself with a terrible rana, and a pathetically fake exploding-into-powder bottle shot?

So, anyone wanna speculate baselessly whether Nash is really sick or if it's a case of Idon'twannajobbitis?

And when since about 1998 has Nash ever been a headcase when it comes to jobbing?

The only incident I EVER recall is the "heart attack" he suffered before having to face The Giant at Starrcade. You can call Nash a lot of things - but unwilling to put someone over has never been one of them.

How about we wait until more info has been released about why he's in the HOSPITAL after a call to 911? I'm not a fan of his matches either, but in my eyes that's never been reason to rag on a guy when he's lying on a hospital bed. Do I have to be the first to say I hope Nash is okay?? Have a heart, people.

As for the PPV, it looks like Monty Brown is going to get the shot after how things went at the fanfest on Saturday. A triple threat with Brown, Jarrett, and Raven would also not surprise.

*** POSSIBLE SPOILER ***

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
In a very interesting note, I was on the TNA site earlier and the roll call listed Christopher Daniels as the X-Division champ, AMW as the Tag Team champs, and AJ Styles as the Heavyweight Champ. Now with the exception of AMW, none of these things are true... could TNA have accidently given away several spoilers for tonite? TNA has since changed this mistake but I found it interesting.

previous post - if you don't know how to use the spoiler tags, please ask before trying something else. Thanks.

Bound for Glory - TNA confirms he's OUT of the PPV. There still will be a title match, but no name is mentioned.

Nash - he's got a percieved history of claiming injury when he's got to do a high profile jobs. I don't kow if it's a fair stigma - people point to his mysterious no-show at Starcade '97 when he should've been losing to Giant, but he's said it recent years he had something near to a heart attack (and, who knows, this could be related) - but I think it's a not a crazy enough idea that people should be shouted down for wondering.

I think Nash is much more valuable as a TV performer than a PPV one (he's not cutting promos on PPVs, and he's got the sort of past fame people might tune into watch, but it's hard to believe they'd particularly pay for him), so this probably won't hurt them all that much. I may be off, but I think if Lyger missed his flight (he didn't), that would've been a bigger loss than Nash.

In light of everything, I'm really not surprised about the Nash situation. However, Bill Banks says this is legit, so for now I will believe its true.

If TNA is in their right minds, they will just book Raven against Jarrett and put AJ/Daniels in the main event slot where it should be.

If you ask me, he's got a greater stigma of actually suffering injuries at inopportune times. Based on his 2002-2003 run with WWE, I can absolutely believe he's been sidelined just as a major angle is picking up steam.

Does anyone remember if he was having any trouble around Summerslam '03? I know he took time off to film Punisher, but I had assumed there was yet another injury that convinced WWE to let his contract run out.

IIRC, Nash was supposed to come back that fall to collect Triple H's bounty on Goldberg, but he turned down the angle to have neck surgery after he was done with Punisher. Since his recovery time extended past the end of his contract, WWE just let it expire and figured they'd do a new deal if/whenever they wanted to do something with him again.

On the bottle shot. Why wasn't there a blade job here? There was one for the belt shot.

Is TNA telling me that a belt shot can bust someone open, but hittien someone with a bottle *that broke* can't?

Chill, that really sounds like an old page that got loaded back in by mistake. Nothing more.

Agreed that the tag title match was overbooked. SOME of that stuff would have been good, but somewhere around the ref bump it got to be ridiculous. (Ref bumps are about the most overused spot in wrestling right now.)

I think the Nash thing is legit. Meltz certainly indicates so.

What happened at the end of Impact, anyways? I heard some new music start up that got Jarrett's attention but TiVo didn't pick it up.

How long does it typically go over each week? I have to pad the season pass, but I'm not sure how much to set it for.

And, finally, why is it that every time a ref gets bumped you have someone try and go for the pin, even though the referee is out cold *right in front of their face*? It annoys me that they still try and pin the person knowing full well that the ref has been knocked out - argh.
