Nintendo is taking the restrictions off pricing for the GameCube and allowing stores to sell it for whatever price they wish.

This could end up with GC's going for $50, in which case I'll finally buy one. Heck, I'll buy it at that price point just to be able to play Animal Crossing while I'm deployed.

According to that article right now they are only doing that in Japan. I'd say that hopefully this will eventually make it stateside, but I already have one.
