NECW usually delivers dome good stuff, let's see what they have going this time:
Match 1:6 man tag: D-UNIT (Doug Summers, Rocco Abruzzi and Clip O'Reilly) vs RAVE (Zack Statick & Kristian Frost) and Evan Always
O'Reilly used to be a ref. RAVE is wearing flowery trunks, yeehaw. Try that in Tennessee, boys! Summers and Abruzzi pull out some decent teaming action, but Rocco loses me with a wimpy over-the-top-rope bump that may be the worst I've ever seen. Shenanigans at the end in favor of the bad guys!
Match 2: "Rocket" Fred Curry, Jr. vs Makua
Never seen Makua before, he's Wild Samoan big and the announcers say he's an islander, but don't say which one. Rhode, maybe. Rocket is okay enough. Makua has some good speed to go with the typical "islander" offense, but is green enough to have BOTH shoulders off the mat at the final three count. The finishing missle dropkick is not good.
Match 3: "The Brooklyn Bomber" Tony Montana vs Dollar D Dino Laconte
Never seen either of these two. Squashy match finished with a submission move by Montana. Eh.
Match 4: "Big Guns" Frankie Arion vs Kid Krazy
Arion is the world's best Greek luchadore. Krazy, never seen him. Things go well for awhile until something messes up in a corner, then continuity breaks up a bit. Arion WAY oversells a couple of chops, bleh. Arion does some flippy things and wins. This could have been better methinks.
Match 5: Michael Sain vs "El Boricua" Danny Diaz
I like Sain. He's got the crazy invincible thing going for him and some good offense of that type. Alex Crowley (who is EVIL!) is not with him for the match. Diaz basically gets no effective offense in and gets squishy with it.
Overall: Not the best I've seen from these guys. They are killing time a bit before their Iron 8 tournament. Also: some engineer/producer/techy guy needs to be slapped around a bit for the LOOOONG pauses between intros before the matches. Just awkward.
