Well, we can add SEX, LOVE, AND SECRETS and TARADISE (...which I think is a damn SHAME!) to the list of shows we don't have to hear about for the rest of the year.

My guess is that NIGHT STALKER, are probably next on the chopping block.

On a plus side, Jimmy Kimmell got renewed for another year and PRISON BREAK was picked up for the full season.

In other news, U2 will be 'taking over' Thursdays Conan O'Brian by performing three songs and being the only guests on the show.

Are they scrapping the whole Taradise concept, or just firing Tara Reid and keeping the show under another name? Because I think E!'s had some varient of the show since the network started.

Does that mean it won't end before 24 starts now? I wonder what would get moved if it doesn't. I would hate for Arrested Development to get moved because that's not going to help getting new fans by moving it around like that but a Prsion Break/24 night would be pretty awesome.

And the Don Johnson/Guy from Undeclared vehicle "Just Legal" was canned by the WB. All three of you can mourn now.

There's apparently a curse on the new shows Television Without Pity chose to recap. Head Cases, Sex, Love, and Secrets, and Just Legal were all on the list.

The remaining 7 are:
-Prison Break (seems safe)
-Night Stalker
-Commander in Chief
-Invasion (probably won't be canceled, but I'm not watching it anymore)
-Bones
-Rome (probably safe, but I thought that about Carnivale too)
-The Apprentice: Martha Stewart (probably won't be axed before the winner is revealed, but up against LOST? Don't look for a second season.)

I actually sort of like Commander in Chief. It certainly presents a novel idea anyway. I do hope they don't include a lot of teenage angst though.

My fiancee would be crushed if they cancelled Night Stalker, as it's probably the only show she wants to watch (she loved the original Night Stalker).

I am just a fan of more shows where you won't get lost by missing a single episode. Lost, though a good show, doesn't fit that build.

Not that *I've* watched it, but the show has won it's night for the second straight week and finished in the top ten last week. So I would assume it is probably safe barring any sudden viewer drop off.

Wow. I mean, I find ways to watch three shows that air in that time slot, none of them being Commander-in-Chief. (My Name Is Earl, House, and The Amazing Race) I guess it helps to win in the ratings when:
a) House is on hiatus until after the baseball playoffs,
b) My Name Is Earl is only a half-hour, and
c) The Amazing Race is running a sub-par Family Edition this season.

Same here.

I really tried to watch that show and give it a chance, but I finally gave up after Wednesdays episode. The show just seems really slow and boring with nothing that jumps out and catches my interest.

Nightstalker was another new show that was a huge disappointment for me. I loved the old original show, but so far the new version does nothing for me.

Add Inconceivable to the canceled list; two shows was enough for NBC.

Surface will probably be next for them.

Gone are the days when a network would try shuffling the schedule around to help out poorly-rated shows. If you're not at least a semi-hit right away, you're outta here these days. Damn.

Isn't NBC already trying that with Apprentice: Martha Stewart and E-Ring trading time slots? Not that I'll watch either of them, but at least someone is trying.

It hasn't cracked the Top 20, as far as I know.

I've been liking Commander-in-Chief thus far (granted it's two episodes into its run). It's no West Wing (which has been really good this season thus far), but it's pretty good.

From Zap2it.

The hour-long season premiere of "George Lopez" put ABC on top at 8 p.m. with a 6.4/10. An earlier start for "E-Ring," 5.5/9, helped the NBC drama improve some over last week

According to Dark Horizons, "Kitchen Confidential" has also been axed. Damn.

On the plus side, it looks like "How I Met Your Mother" is getting a full season. So is "Bones", but less deservedly so.

I'm pretty sure that there's a guy from FOX somewhere in my house, hiding from me. When he sees that there's a show on his network that I like, he makes sure that it's cancelled as soon as possible.
