Make it four. I do use the triple blades, though. It took some getting used to, but I don't see myself going back to twin blades anymore.

Chalk me up with the Mach 3 Turbo. I use those, like Dunk, way past the strips giving out...a four-pack lasts me at least 6 months, even shaving daily using water. I was tempted to splurge and get the M3Power, but the M3T does the job.

If you're in the market for a good electric razor, you should try the Braun Activator. It's not cheap (about $150 at most places), but it's a fantastic product. It has a self-cleaning docking bay. You need to get the refill for the cleaner every couple of months, but I just wash out the old one and fill it with vodka. Works like a charm. And it still works as well as when I first bought it. Here's a link

As fot wet shaving, when I'm on the road I use a Gillette Sensor Excel.

OK, you rule. Remember the SNL commercial parody of the three-blade commercial? The blades kept going by until it was peeling off skin!

Like orangeman, I use the Gillette Sensor Excel (2 blades). It's cheap, since I bought the huge economy pack of blades and I only shave about once a week (my gal likes the scruff). Hence, they should last me about 40 years.
I have tried the three-blade razors, but I don't see a big difference.

Add another one to the Sensor Excel club for me. I'm annoyed because I've finally run out of the big box of replacement cartridges I've used for 4 years, and now I can't find another big pack of the 2-blade replacements. I'm currently using a small 4 2-blade and 1 3-blade promo pack.

As for the SNL commercial, I caught a rerun of "NBC's Saturday Night" a few weeks ago, and I believe the original commercial was for "Triple Trax Razor...because you'll believe anything."
Which is extremely hilarious in hindsight.

Norelco triple head electric, I've used it for mebbe twenty years, cuz it saves me time as I shave on the AM commute. As long as the blades are kept clean, and I replace them about once a year or so (around father's day they're always on sale), I recharge the battery weekly, this works well for me.

Being the cheep bastard I am, I figure the money I am saving on refill cartridges and shave gel/cream more than makes up for the bigger hit once a year to replace the blades.

I never shave on Saturdays.

The groomer blade is a godsend for nosehairs.

Whenever I get my haircut I splurge two bits to have the barber get out the straightedge razor.

If you're going to change razors, it may take your face a week or so to adjust.

I have a Schick Quattro and a Gillette Mach 3 - one stays at my house, one stays at my parents' place for when I go back there. I'm a mark for stupid new razors, so I'll have to try the Gillette Fusion (FIVE BLADES) when it comes out soon.

I use a Quattro myself, and put me in the "me too" crowd to try the Fusion.

Jay Leno had a nice bit about this, to the effect of, "The first three blades lift the hair, the fourth cuts it, and the fifth removes bone marrow."

Now if they could just market one that you push along your face that operated like an old push mower....

I purchased the Fusion today...and put it to the semi-ultimate test: I shaved the two weeks' growth on my head, and I have to admit: it didn't do anything the M3Power didn't do...I didn't really notice a difference.

The blade at the top of the razor was great, and the top corners aren't exposed so it won't accidentally nick the skin.

For those in Canada, I bought this razor at Shoppers Drug Mart for $11.99 plus tax. Not sure if that'll be the price everywhere, but I guess it's their introductory pricing.

I hate the color of the razor and the casing though. Orange??!?!?!

I got one in the mail this week. I think it's because I subscribe to ESPN Magazine. I haven't tried it yet. There's lots of coupons in the box, too. I didn't realize they were that expensive!

I use the M3Power as well. I dig it. I CANNOT use disposables, because my hair's so tough and so thick that I go through about three of them at once and they still don't shave worth a damn.

I used to use a straight razor. I had one of the ones that you replaced the blade on and it was awesome. Then the barber supply store near me went out of business and I couldn't find the blades anywhere else. I'd still like to get an old-school straight razor and strop and try that.

There is an art to this, and done properly by an expert it still gives the best shave. That's why every couple of months or so when I get my haircut, I splurge two bits for the barber to do this for me.

I have one of these straight-edge razors with a whalebone carved handle, the only thing I inherited from my grandfather. I have only used it a couple of times, not nearly enough practise to master it. I don't have the time to learn, so the electric works best on the morning commute.

I got a couple dozen Schick Ultras free with coupons last year, and sent them in a carepackage to the troops in Iraq.

I use a Fusion. It was sent to me on my 18th birthday. Pretty much the same as my old Mach 3 Turbo but the top blade is a nice feature. Makes trimming up the sideburns a cinch.

It's amazing what changes since the last time I posted here. I've gone to the Fusion, which is a really good shave, and have recently started using that Nivea for Men shaving cream. when you first get it out of the dispenser, it's a very thick gel, but once it starts to cream up, it spreads quite easily, and leaves my face feeling great afterwards, I dont get the greasy type feeling I would using Edge or what not. I would highly recommend you try it out.

The only thing that I dont like about the Fusion is that my chin is usually really difficult, and sometimes it feels raw, but I can usually go 4-5 days without needing a shave afterwards.

My dad has one of these, it's the closest shave I've ever had from an electric razor. No joke, it's just about as good as a blade. I couldn't believe it. Personally, I'm too cheap to get one, so I just use an old mach three razor.
