The last bit saying that Whitaker's character will be the "biggest danger to Vic and his team in the history of the series so far" is something given all the psychos they've had to deal with before. Makes me wonder if the old sins of the Strike Team will be revisited and somehow everything that ever went wrong with Margos, Armadillo, Gilroy and the rest will come back through Whitaker to confront Mackey, the sum of all actions past. | Promote this thread! | | Pizza Delivery Jones

| #6 Posted on 29.9.05 0825.37 Reposted on: 29.9.12 0825.42 | FX promos are calling next season "the beginning of the end", FX hasn't ordered a sixth season (yet), and FX execs are being tight lipped about whether or not this is the last season. Plus, Shawn Ryan (creator, producer, director, etc...) might have a midseason show on CBS (?), so Whitaker might be the guy that finally takes down the Strike Force for good.

I wasn't too excited at first about Glenn Close, but that turned out pretty damn good. (ditto for Anthony Anderson) | Pizza Delivery Jones

True. Both Close and Anderson definitely showed that they deserved to be on the show. The thing is, while watching them I never had that feeling of, "hey, look, Glenn Close is on The Shield." For me, however, Whitaker is one of those actors (like Harrison Ford, Jack Nicholson and Sean Connery) where I watch and say, "oh wow, it's Forest Whitaker again..." | Monte

I am assuming Whitaker is going to be some sort of official who is working with that P.I. who was investigating the team for Close and makes the official case against the Strike Team. While they say he is the "biggest danger" they probably want us all to think he is some sort of villain... I am assuming he is going to be the one to take the Strike Team down via all the dirt (for example the dope taken from that home leading to the death etc etc...) | Escutcheon

His character will be Detective John Kavanaugh, and he's supposed to be the worst nemesis Vic and the Strike Team have ever faced! I can't wait to see how Vic gets out of this one......
