I thought I would ask here at the W to see how many of you have been affected by the move of Smackdown from Thrusday to Friday nights.
For those who have UPN you just tune in at 8pm Friday night to see FNS.
Syndication can play anytime after the Smackdown ends at 10pm. Mine used to air directly after the live showing on Thrusdays but now apparently my local station has cleared the Friday night line up for games shows and reruns of South Park. I had to search the TV listings to see if they were even going to air it. Luckly they had not droped it but moved it to Saturday Night at 8pm.
So instead of getting FNS I'm getting SNS, Saturday Night Smackdown. Anybody else have problems with the move in your syndication area?

I have UPN and I still get problems. My local station broadcasts high school football games on Fridays. So that means that Smackdown! doesn't start until about 9:30. I know it's going to be over soon, but it still annoys me.

Local sports every Friday so far. I honestly don't think I'll be seeing Smackdown on Fridays until the end of baseball season, and even then it'll probably be back on Saturday once basketball season starts.

No problems here other than the first week. Of course the only local sports we have here is football. College games of course all come on Saturdays, and the only high school games that are ever televised are the playoffs.
But just because Smackdown! comes on doesn't mean I watch it.

My UPN affiliate's got a deal with the Red Sox, so I get Friday Night Baseball every Friday night. So SmackDown moves to Saturdays for me, as well. The last time I regularly watched a wrestling show on Saturdays was Shotgun Saturday Night; I probably watched it more often than I watch SmackDown these days.

I don't know what that shows more weakness towards...UPN's view of the value of WWE, or UPN's complete lack of control over its affiliates. Especially in note of airing high school football games (which another user pointed out is aired instead in his area). I mean, the Red Sox are one thing, but c'mon...high school football?
Maybe it's just my area, where high school football games can't even seem to keep a timeslot on the public access stations.

Not only was SD delayed to 10pm due to a baseball game here in Washington DC, but it didn't even start on time, so the tivo missed it. Next week is also scheduled for 10pm and I doubt it'll move to 8pm until the season's over.
What a mess. I'm surprised it retained so much of its rating when clearly there are plenty of local area problems getting the show to appear when it's supposed to appear.
