Yeah, I just got back from the game. Goddamn, that was the craziest thing I've ever seen. First no hitter at Fenway since 1965 I think they said. And to think, I wanted to see Pedro pitch. Forget that, from now on, it's Lowe all the way baby!

If not for an infield single, it would probably have been Lowe's second no-hitter in about 4 weeks. Incredible. BTW, mlb.com is offering the "condensed version" (every hit, run, and payoff pitch) of this game for free on the website, so if you want to see Tampa Bay have 27 batters retired and 1 guy walk, go head over there for the video.

According to Bill James' new Win Shares book, Lowe has actually had great numbers in the last few years, but he's a guy that has completely flown under the radar.

Thank God I'm not playing my friend Brian in one of my rotisserie league. Not only does he have Lowe, but he has Odalis Perez, who pitches a 1 hitter on Friday night.

In one of the other leagues I'm in, the draft was held during the first week of the season and I ended up with Unit and Pedro (who was coming off his horrible Opening Day performance and fell to the bottom of the pitcher rankings).
