Did anyone else notice the lack of a sideline reporter in the Cowboy-Charger game Sunday? It was AWESOME! the best part was I never missed game action because of a thoroughly uninteresting and uninformative interview. And, somehow, in the midst of a 3 hour game and 30 seconds between plays, the announcers could impart all relevant information. Better yet, it flowed within their conversation and the action happening on the field. No chance to interview random Fox celebrity was pretty huge too.

I enjoyed it, anyhow.

I guess they did have some random guy on just after halftime and just before the game started. But, I can handle that ok. I just hate interrupting game action for some nonsensical interview.

We had the "H" team on the Seahawks/Jags debacle. No FoxBox to start with so no score or time clock, no yellow first down line or other nifty graphix Fox uses until late in the game. When the graphix showed up, the Hawks offense went south. Gonna be a long year.

I had that Hawks/Jags game as well. HORRIBLE announcers. Is it really that difficult to find a decent set of commentators?

I had to sit through the dreadful 9-6 Washington/Chicago early game, when there was an exciting NO/Carolina game going on. Well, that's what I get for living near...wait, no. I live in Upstate NY.

WHY DID THEY SHOW THAT GAME? Gah!

Because they assumed you were a Giants fan, so they thought you'd enjoy seeing the Washington (same division) game.

I have no idea why they think that. I'm a Packer fan in Wisconsin. I don't really care to see Minnesota, Chicago, or Detroit play, though. Especially if they're going to suck. Yet that is invariably what we end up getting.

I watched every frame of that game at least twice (it's my job) and I didn't notice.

Shows you how much I know about football that I didn't even think to look for one.

Though I heard Namath was staggering up and down the sidelines, so I'm not really that surprised.

Thanks to the Sunday Ticket mix channels, we got to see all the 1pm and 4pm games at once. From my count, Fox had 4 1pm games and 4 (all) 4pm games.

Like DrewDewce said, that game got stuck with the H-team.

That right there is the reason that sideline reporters must never be abolished. I'll take 1000 lame interviews for that one glorious moment when Suzy Kolber and Drunk Joe crossed paths.
