| #1 Posted on 10.9.05 1901.19 Reposted on: 10.9.12 1904.49 | I was just checking out the X-Men 3 page on imdb.com and it caught my eye that they have Beverley Mahood cast as Dazzler. Since I remember a few of us were talking about her a few weeks back, does anyone here know if this is the Canadian singer or another person with the same name?
ps. Juggernaut's in the movie? That's awesome!

Beverley's also got herself a new gig.
FWIW, I think she'd make a good Dazzler.

I've never heard of her til now. She looks like she could be a good Dazzler. It's probably just a mutant cameo though. | Big Bad

The casting for X3 looks pretty keen. Kelsey Grammer as Beast is an inspired choice, and Ben Foster should do a good job as Angel. | The Vile1

No Bryan Singer.
No Tom DeSanto
Brett Ratner directing.
Rushed production/release schedule.

| #8 Posted on 12.9.05 1420.25 Reposted on: 12.9.12 1420.27 | | I tend to have faith that as long as they remain true to the source material (ala Spiderman and the first 2 X-Movies) they will have a hard time screwing the movie (and franchise) up. The classic X-Men stories are really timeless and could survive an average director. Remember, the director doesn't even cut and paste the movie together. Fox does, however, need to start inking these actors to multi-movie deals from Day One so we don't have to endure this re-sign or not to re-sign drama. | The Vile1

| Judging from AICN script reports and the scenes that have been filmed, it appears that the newly-powered Jean Grey VAPORIZES Cyclops near the beginning of the movie. |

I didn't like the Brett Ratner choice but unless they put together a total shit movie I'm still gonna go see it. Like DrOp said it they don't stray from the original stories it can survive Ratner. | The Vile1

Sure they are probably going to make changes.
But from what I've heard they are filming right now, it doesn't sound like they made too many changes for the better. As in not making the changes from the biggest problems clarified in the AICN script report.
It sounds like this time around they are going more for a dumb Michael Bay type action movie rather than a great movie with action in it. Which is why Singer's movies were so exceptional. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
