| #24 Posted on 9.9.05 1522.25 Reposted on: 9.9.12 1525.00 | In order of what is important to me:
MLB: Chicago White Sox. This is the team that I bleed with every year. Means more to me than any other sport. NFL: My fantasy team. It's kind of sad, but at this point if you told me I could choose between winning my fantasy league title or the Chicago Bears winning a Super Bowl, I know what I would choose, and Da Bears wouldn't like it. NCAA: DePaul Blue Demons. I have to root for my alma mater. Their choke at the end of last year drove me nuts. Since my school doesn't have a football team, I basically have adopted Northwestern and Illinois. NBA: I've returned from the fan purgatory in which the bungles of Jerry Krause put me and the rest of Chicago Bulls fans into over the last few years. I don't live and die by their results, but last year was a fun run to see them go on, and I hope they can keep it going. AFL: Collingwood Magpies. I became converted to the joys of Aussie Rules Football when living with a girl from Melbourne, and since them I've been with the Pies. I still maintain the Grand Final of 2002 was one of the 5 best sporting events I've ever watched for sheer intensity and drama. MLS: Chicago Fire AHL: Chicago Wolves EPL: Arsenal

| #25 Posted on 9.9.05 1534.40 Reposted on: 9.9.12 1535.14 | NFC: Packers, above all. Hey, I've lived in Titletown all my life. Let's see YOU sit through every home game of a 4-12 1991 season (Lindy Infante, we hardly knew ye.)
AFC: Patriots. I blame my Boston-born best friend. Gotta love the way they run their franchise, though. Top-notch.
AL: Red Sox. See above...except our road trip to Gm 4 of the WORLD FREAKIN' SERIES in StL last year rocked. Weird feeling, knowing millions...(and millions!) would've killed to be in my seat, seeing the Sox win a damned title.
That, and any Brewers fan worth his/her salt should still hate the Yankees from the early 80's. Which brings me to...
NL: Brewers. F*ck the Chicago Cubs. You live in WI, you don't cheer for a Chicago team. Period.
NBA: Eh, Bucks by default. Don't really give a hoot.
NHL: N/A. Red Wings fans in town...see above point about the Chicago fans. Gimme good ol' USHL hockey any day...Go Green Bay Gamblers! (I did mark out for Gm 7 of the 1994 Eastern Conf. finals when the Rangers got by the Devils, though.)
AF2: Green Bay Blizzard. Old-School Helmet Giveaway Night RULES.
NCAAF: Wisconsin Badgers. I still need to get down to that refurbished Camp Randall Stadium.
NCAAB: UW-Green Bay Fighting Phoenix. (men and women.) Going to NCAA tourneys on the school's dime + turning 21 = one helluva spring break. | messenoir

Football: Chicago Bears (with the Dolphins my second favorite team).
Basketball: Houston Rockets, started when Hakeem played for them and was about the best center ever. I stil laugh everytime I think of him schooling Shaq in the finals. Now, Yao has replaced Hakeem as the funny, fereign guy who can play him some ball.
Hockey: Lille, from the Federation Francaise. I used to like the Blackhawks, but am so completely sick of US/Canadian hockey I can't watch them anymore. | Sec19Row53

It's sort of the minor league system of the Arena Football League. I say sort of because there's no connection to a "big league" team like there is with MLB/Minor Leagues. Also, af2 is the only other indoor league that is allowed to use the patented style of play that is AFL. | Quezzy

I hear ya, the Mets have played their way out of it, but you have to admit it's been a brutal schedule. First a 3 game series against the Marlins and Dontrelle, Beckett, and Burnett. Then to Atlanta to play Thomson, Smoltz and Hudson. And now the Cards with Morris, Carpenter, and Mulder. Those nine pitchers have a combined record of 124 - 60. Still if the Mets went 5 - 4 or 4 - 5 on this stretch they'd be in pretty good shape, but now they seem out of it. Oh well, it was atleast exciting to watch Reyes and Wright this year. | raygun

Philadelphia Flyers Fell in love with the Flyers during the 1985 playoffs. As a 8 year old who figured the Jets would never beat the Oilers, I became a Flyers fan. And I've been one ever since.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers It's been a rollercoaster ride the past 20 years, but I bleed Blue & Gold.
Philadelphia Eagles I started watching the NFL religiously a few years ago. Because of my love for the Flyers, the Eagles became my team by default. Being from Winnipeg, I also like the Vikes.
I don't watch baseball or basketball. Though I do silently root for the Twins to succeed.
Also, I don't follow any soccer besides the Euro and World Cup. But when those times roll around, I'm cheering on England, baby! | Freeway

Football: The Calgary Stampeders may suck, but I must root for them out of duty.
Hockey: The Calgary Flames. 3-time Stanley Cup Finalists, including a Cup win when I was 4, which made me into a life-long fan. | pieman
