"--WWE fired Rudy Fishmann on Tuesday night from the writing team. Apparently they were mad at him because he only was critical of the Torrie Wilson vs. Ashley Massaro match. No (expletive deleted)"

I read this and I knew I saw something here recently about Rudy Fishmann. It was from CRZ's World folder.. thread titled "WWE SEARCHES LEADING TO THE W OF THE WEEK"

this is the link : http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=27032 (If someone could link that up for me and make it pretty, many thanks)

So it seems someone knew something back on whenever the date was they searched. Scandalous !

Jim

P.S. I wanted to post this in that particular CRZ World thread but it was closed (too old). If this is the wrong place to post, I apologize.

(From PWTorch.com)

One of the more than dozen creative team assistants to Stephanie McMahon, Rudy Rischamnn was let go after Tuesday's Smackdown taping. One source said he was let go because he was seen as "too much of a mark."

One of the last straws was said to have been Fischmann browbeating and yelling at Ashley Massaro and Torrie Wilson after their match on Monday. Despite the Divas being told by several road agents and even Vince McMahon that the bout (which obviously didn't go well) was OK, Fischmann loudly complained that it wasn't what he wanted out of the segment
Interresting how different each report of the same event can turn out.

I don't know, all the stories seem to be about the same thing. The guy didn't look at that match as a 'learning experience', which even someone as out of the wrestling business as me knew that it was. And the fact is that it wasn't that bad of a match, and certainly could have gone much MUCH (MUCH) worse than it did with just the one big screw-up. They probably did it so that they'd know right away what she needs work on so they can start training and be most effective. Probably why they gave her a live interview segment with Carlito. Why wait for 6 months and then see how she does? Why not give her a short, probably VERY scripted match she can practice with Victoria there to help and see how she does and then you'll know where you stand?

Looking at the match like that and reading that this guy was "too much of a mark", it's not that much of a jump to imagine he was close to starting his own "You Fucked Up" chant after the match, which could make the McMahon's wonder "Jesus, what the hell is wrong with this guy?" and realize that he just doesn't 'have it'. Especially if he had a history of being out of line with people higher in the company than him.

(Of course, I'm taking everything I've read in these posts as true which is pretty dangerous)

I don't see how acting markish and talking down to wrestlers go together, but if he was publicly berating VERY green talent, he's an idiot.

Acting markish doesn't mean that you fall in love with the wrestlers, it means that you only look at what's going on at the absolute face value.

I was thinking something like this: "That interview totally sucked! Ric Flair made you look like a fool, that guy's awesome!" or "Hogan rules, they should give that guy the belt. Hey, look at that Hurricane guy. He's like, 60 pounds! There's NO WAY he could ever beat Masters! That guy's HUGE!"

Maybe not to that extent, but stuff like that fits the description and would certainly be reason to cut someone off if it was going off.

Then Vince must be the biggest mark ever!

Hey, I loves me some Hurricane, but even I thought the Hurri-slam was pushing it. Glad they retired it.

As much as we all would love to say Vince is wrong this match sucked, when it comes down to it this guy is a moron.

Paying bills and making money is more important then creative freedom.

I mean it was Torrie and Ashley. What the hell was he expecting?
