Here's (slam.canoe.ca) an interview/article on the whereabouts of former Intercontinental champion Ahmed Johnson.

With the photo of how he looks today, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he didn't end up with a WWE return. He is frickin' jacked.

I believe he refused to job to Kurgan during a taping of Raw. Mick Foley alludes to it in Have A Nice Day. There was also the issue of him constantly injuring guys...

The story has to do with Ahmed refusing to job to Kurrgan, as he felt it would hurt his character. Kurrgan wasnt yet a member of the oddities, and was doing a South African soldier gimmick with Reacon and Sniper, manged by the Jackyl. Ahmed was pushed hard in the beginning and had instant star charisma. It's amazing how much potential he had, but he never really caught on. He had a rep for injuring guys and being a sloppy worker. When he resurfaced in WCW years later, he was horribly out of shape and looked rather fat and had an odd muscular gut. What a waste, even though he didnt have the wrestling talent, his charisma alone could have made him one of the all time greats. This man would get really crazy pops for his entrance. I doubt Vince would bring him back. I wonder if who spray painted 'Congratulations Nigger' on his car after he won the IC title.

Seriously, I wouldn't mind seeing Ahmed back. I liked the unintelligible bastard, too. But I'd also want Vince McMahon to return as an announcer just so he could say his name in that special way he had ("Ahhhmeeeeeeeeed Johnson!") You always knew Vince really loved a guy if he came up with a special way of saying his name ("the Uuuuuuuuuuuuuultimate Warrior!"). And who knew he had such an interesting life? He was a lion tamer?
