For me, its From Russia With Love, mainly because it's got some of the niftier gadgets of all the movies.

Goldfinger is damned close for me, but my favorite's got to be Goldeneye. The combination of hot Russian chick, egomaniacal Russian hacker, Brosno-Bond, Sean Bean, Amke Janssen and "Yo Jimbo!" just make the movie immortal.

Embarrassingly, I admit that my favorite is LIVE AND LET DIE.

Yes, I know it's also the worst Bond film, but damnit, Yaphet Kotto 'blowing up' at the end was awesome. Also, it introduced the world to the beautiful Jane Seymore.

For me it's a tie between Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun. Live And Let Die has delicious camp and the awesome car/boat chase (with the FANTASTIC boat jump OVER A STREET) whilst Man With the Golden Gun has the awesome Christopher Lee as Fransisco Scaramanga.

Either Goldfinger or You Only Live Twice; both deserve equal credit for adding the word "impregnable" to my vocabulary. As far as the Roger Moore era, though, definitely The Man With The Golden Gun....that I admit to. Moonraker was silly, campy and not very good by comparison but dammit if I'm not hooked in every time I see that it's on.

Does CASINO ROYALE count?

If so, that's my favorite.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Diana Rigg was (and is) a hero of mine, and I find both her performance and George Lazenby's performance in this film compelling. The lack of ridiculous gadgets and improbable plans helps as well.

I'm also a fan of "Majesty." And any other movie where James Bond still smokes.

A better questions is "what's your favorite Bond book?" The books are great reading, and Ian Fleming is a genius writer. My personal favorite is "You Only Live Twice," where Fleming manages to hold his readership spellbound through an entire chapter that consists of describing a game of (wait for it)...Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Any one of the Pierce Brosnan movies. I didn't like the James Bond character he took over. I know there are other ones and probably better ones but those are the ones I've actually seen and really enjoyed.

You only live twice. I will never forget the image of the ship opening its front gates and "swallow" the submarine! Awesome visual. Plus it got Jaws!!!

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is tremendous. George Lazenby is excellent in this and Diana Rigg is stunning. But this movie features the most vile portayal of a Bond villian to date: Telly Savalas as Blofeld. Not only is he bent on world domination, but when Lazenby foils Telly's plans he gets the most brutal revenge:

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
He has Diana Rigg assassinated immediately following her marriage to Bond. Cut down by a hail of bullets driving away from the church. It's what alters Bond's psyche forever and never allows him to get that close to anyone again, at least for more than a couple of hours.

Simply great!
