Not that this is likely of any significance to the subject, but it is actually OU -- not OSU. OU (Univ of Oklahoma) = Sooners. OSU (Okla State Univ) = Cowboys. What can I say? I love college football...

Good Things: The Jake Roberts DVD (and Jake's involvment). Ted DiBiase joining in some backstage capacity. Hinting that Austin might be back in ring for Wrestlemania 22. Another Diva in Playboy, and quote "You might be surprised." Shock: Trish, Lita, Victoria, Stacy, and Lilian. Mild Surprise: Melina, Sharmell, and I guess Jillian. Anti-Climactic: Candice, Maria, Michelle, and Ashley. If it's one of those four I shall be disappointed. Speaking of Trish, JR says she should be back "any Monday now."
Pointless Things: Big Show is really big. And here's the numbers to back it up. Benoit will elevate the US Championship. Thank you, Mr. Obvious. High hopes for Cade and Murdoch. They have high hopes for every new debut. *Two* questions about Coachman being part of the announce team. Weren't you anxious to hear what JR thought about the NCAA banning deregatory nicknames?! No, I wasn't either.

I read it, I said "meh". Not a lot of meat for people who liked to read between the lines of the old report, so I'm guessing for most here, this was a disappointing return column.
Ross was shilling for a few upcoming projects, and about all I learned from it was that Ron Simmons still works with the fed. Not much in the way of Ross-isms, though we did get "back in the saddle", "goofy as a pet coon", and "that went over like flatulence in church" - but I think in the J.R. game it needs to be three animal-related ones?
I liked the tone, it was enough out of character to sound like it was a column for the more die-hard fans, and I think it accomplished what they wanted. My take is that the new Ross Report is just directed at a more casual audience than us, so I really can't complain that it was what it was (fluff).
