Holy hell. Two of the most brutal knockouts you will ever see happened on this card.

In the main event, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell defeated Jeremy Horn by 4th round TKO when Horn could no longer continue due to loss of vision. Liddell knocked the contender down in the first and second round and was mainly tenative waiting for Horn to open up. He called out Quinton Jackson after the fight.

Randy Couture returned with a 3rd Round submission of Mike Van Arsdale.

Tim Sylvia defeated Tra Telligman by absolute KO at 4:59 of the 1st round. Sylvia caught Telligman with a viscous leg kick to the side of the head that immediately knocked him out. He had to be stretchered off with a neck brace and oxygen mask. I suggest finding this clip.

The Ultimate Fighter middleweight winner Diego Sanchez won his first PPV fight dominating Brian Gassaway. Gassaway tapped to strikes in the 2nd round.

In the opener, Georges St. Pierre absolutely dominatted Frank Trigg, tapping him with a rear naked choke in the 1 round. Trigg never had a chance. See ya, Twinkle Toes.

In the prelims, Matt Lindland defeated Joe Doerksen via unanaimous decision to put a stranglehold on the No. 1 contender spot for the UFC Welterweight Championship.

Also in the prelims, James Irvin defeated Terry Martin by absolute knockout at 0:09 of the 2nd round with a flying knee. (MMAWeekly.com has a good picture of this.) Martin was also stretchered out with a neck brace and oxygen mask. His eyes we're rolled into the back of his head. I also suggest finding this clip.

Hopefully Tra and Terry are okay after that. They were both completely out of it. Appearently, Telligman wasn't even responsive to smelling salts.

Sherdog reports that Martin was responsive as he was exiting the Octagon.

Overall, a good card. I am looking forward to the next one in October.

Arlovski/Buentello and Freeman/Griffin might not be enough for me to buy.

Man! Chuck is dominant. He can't be taken down anymore, you have to beat him on his feet. If he really wants to challenge himself he needs to take on Silva.

IMO, this was one of the best shows UFC has put on in a while.

Randy did look a step slower than usual, but every fighter has a bad night once in a while, and Couture was able to pull a win out of his.

Chuck, on the other hand, looked absolutely dominant. His power is unbelievable, and his technique has improved so much lately. Jeremy looked totally lost all fight, w/ no chances at landing punches, takedowns, or even goading Chuck into following him to the ground.

If Silva can pull off the Pride GP, I don't know how Pride and Zuffa can continue to put off a Liddell/Silva match. This match simply needs to happen.
