I recently downloaded a bunch of stuff on hard drive that I would like to transfer to DVD so I can not only clear my hard drive, but have copies I can watch where ever. Is the DVD technology there yet and is it cost effective? I saw this thing Click Here ( looks like an alright deal, but is this even the right tool for the job? Also are DVD discs affordable? I'm not looking to go bananas, I have about 20 GBs worth of material and I'm really not much of a downloader anyways.

If possible you could wait a little longer for the next generation DVD burners to hit the market and either buy them or todays DVD burners will be much cheaper. DVD discs are larely inexpensive if you buy a 10 pack say. I'd maybe recommend an external burner unless you want an internal one for just your desktop. You'd also want some software to transfer the videos and burn the disc. Smething like Ulead Video Studio which is easy to use.
