I loved it, but I'm trying to figure out where it stands in my mind compared to Lost in Translation.

Once again, we have Bill Murray in a mid-life crisis movie, playing an aging man at crossroads, unsure of where his life is headed and what his past ultimately amounts to.

Murray is excellent playing this kind of role, but after Rushmore, Lost in Translation, The Life Aquatic, and now Broken Flowers, he might do well to choose something completely different for his next role.

Everyone in the film delivers a first-class performance. Tilda Swinton, who is on screen for all of 3 minutes, is unforgettable.

It's both classic Bill Murray acting and classic Jim Jarmusch directing, so I give high marks all around. A definite recommendation.
