EDIT: Since people are splitting up into categories, I'm pretty much a reactionary when it comes to social politics (I believe people are too worried about 'rights' and not enough about 'responsibility') and just a typical conservative economically.

| #22 Posted on 21.8.05 1930.11 Reposted on: 21.8.12 1937.09 | I'd say my political position is complicated. I'm very socially liberal (pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, anti-censorship). Economically...well, truth be told, I have to say I'm not sure I'm qualified in that regard. Economics has never been a terribly deep interest of mine. Social interests are where my heart lies and where I tend to vote. In the non-liberal side, I'm undecided on the war in Iraq (we won't really know until it's all said and done), against hate crime legislation (no thought police!), and favor the death penalty.
I'm just tired of conventional politics. The Democrats and the Republicans are like sports teams, with their fans cheering them on more or less regardless of what they do (think of every homer fan screaming "Is that ref blind?!?") I'm tired of the More-Patriotic-Than-Thou right wingers and the Bush-Peed-In-My-Cornflakes Democrats. I guess I just want a government that does things instead of a bunch of finger-pointers. | ScreamingHeadGuy

I get turned-off by negative attacks. I disagree with anybody who tries to divide people into "us and them" categories. I loathe those who think their position on an issue makes them "better" than those who hold differing opinions.
Heck, if you must label me, call me "anti-human". :) | Gerald

So I guess I guess truthfully right now I tend to be more republican in decisions. I try to stay in the middle and lay low. I guess that would be conservative. Get me talking and I might have you talking all day since we never agree on what usually happens with the government.
