We went to $3.239. We were afraid we wouldn't have enough 3s for the sign, with Plus at $3.339, V-Power at $3.439, and Diesel at $3.529. We were at $2.839 as recently as October 20th.

The majority of the gas stations here have finally cracked the $3 barrier for regular unleaded. The E-85 Ethanol-rich gas is up to 2.79 and Diesel is at a ridiculous 3.79 (those poor truck drivers....)

We SHOULD have the cheapest gas here (Houston), considering they refine the stuff only about 30 miles away and the transportation costs are minimal, compared to the rest of the country...

It's well into the $3.50s for regular unleaded here. They are speculating the we might hit $4/gal this summer.

We're not waiting until summer.

I took these photos this morning on my way to work. In fairness, these are considered to be the most expensive stations in all of Santa Barbara county (and they're a quarter mile from each other). But still...

We're seeing an odd range in Santa Barbara right now. Near where we live, I drove by stations with regular at $3.45, $3.65, and $3.85 - all on the same street. While we're typically higher than the California average, the variance between stations makes little sense at the moment.

Fresno's at or around 3.50 per gallon. Fortunately for me, I live within walking distance for two of my jobs.

I pay about $1.10 per liter - a little more than $4 per gallon, if I'm doing my math right - here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

And one week later it shoots up 15 cents to $3.26

The only saving grace is one gets a four cents discount per gallon if they pay cash at this place.

$3.19 around here, with one place still selling for $3.17 and a lonely Citgo station selling for $3.39. I have no idea how they're still in business, since they're always way more expensive than the other stations, and they don't offer garage services or anything else, just gas. Maybe we have a lot of patriotic Venezuelans around here.

I have seen it as high $3.69 for the regular. I got lucky and paid $3.32 just before the most recent jump.

It has been hovering between $3.15 and $3.19 here, down to $3.08 to $3.11 if you head over the border to Mass. Still better than paying the $4.25 that diesel is going for.

On my drive home, my usual stop for gas and a diet Dr.Pepper was running $3.699 for regular and $4.299 for diesel.
