| #403 Posted on 6.3.08 1854.04 Reposted on: 6.3.15 1857.40 | The majority of the gas stations here have finally cracked the $3 barrier for regular unleaded. The E-85 Ethanol-rich gas is up to 2.79 and Diesel is at a ridiculous 3.79 (those poor truck drivers....)
We SHOULD have the cheapest gas here (Houston), considering they refine the stuff only about 30 miles away and the transportation costs are minimal, compared to the rest of the country... | Merc

We're not waiting until summer.

I took these photos this morning on my way to work. In fairness, these are considered to be the most expensive stations in all of Santa Barbara county (and they're a quarter mile from each other). But still...
We're seeing an odd range in Santa Barbara right now. Near where we live, I drove by stations with regular at $3.45, $3.65, and $3.85 - all on the same street. While we're typically higher than the California average, the variance between stations makes little sense at the moment. | Whitebacon

I have no idea how they're still in business, since they're always way more expensive than the other stations, and they don't offer garage services or anything else, just gas. Maybe we have a lot of patriotic Venezuelans around here. | spf
