Agreed. The front designs on WWE shirts aren't always that bad, but then they have to put some incomprehensible catchphrase on the back... makes the whole thing feel cheesy.

I think this is another reason why Austin 3:16 and the nWo shirts worked. They just said what they said, no extra garbage on the back. For instance, they could've wrecked the Austin 3:16 one by printing in gigantic letters "Austin 3:16 Says I Just Whooped Your Ass!!!!" and have a photo of him or something on the back... takes away from the simplicity of it AND makes it trickier to wear in public where kids will go 'Mommy, what does that man's shirt say..?'

I've only bought one WWE shirt in my life and I cherish it dearly. That's because it says "EVIL" on it. Kaientai, w00t.

I have bought a grand total of 3 wrestling shirts in my life:

1. a camoflauge pattern with Sgt. Slaughter and his "Cobra Clutch" on it, a gift for my younger brother way back in the day. Truly an awesome shirt.

2. Austin 3:16, when it went on the K-mart clearance rack for $1

3. the bright blue Kaientai shirt that said "EVIL" on the front and "INDEEED" on the back, purchased a scant 2 months ago at a secondhand store for all of four bits. I like this one as it doesn't necessarily advertise wrestling - I can wear it without having to answer a lot of questions. I haven't worn it to church yet, but I did wear it one day when I went to volunteer at our local foodshare.

I've never actually bought a WWE T-shirt, but I do own a terrific (and by terrific, I mean awful) one from back when I had a couple of friends who worked at Titan Tower. There was a big bin of third-party T-shirts there that various companies sent over for licensing, and I was fortunate enough to become the owner of the Stone Cold Vest T-shirt. It was supposed to look like Steve Austin's leather vest, open to reveal a "STONE COLD" T-shirt-within-a-T-shirt underneath. (It would've been even greater if they had Austin's rippling abs underneath, but I digress.)

I have never worn this shirt outside, ever. I think I wore it at the gym a couple of times. I felt incredibly self-conscious, hoping to God nobody would approach me about it.

Speaking of God, here's my new favorite T-shirt;

Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the ad I get in my e-mail every couple of days, the one with the guy wearing the T-shirt boldly striding out of church, holding hands with a woman who does not look the least bit embarrassed.

If they're silkscreened, the Preshrunk (preshrunk.info) forums have tips on getting said stupid shit off.

Yeah, it is really unfortunate. Though, as has been said on here before, maybe we're not the people they're making the shirts for.

that's funny. He will die though. As soon as Vince and this stupid lil story-line are doen with him, he will be gone (again).

Is there anything besides pride on the line when he fights Edgerton at SS? if not, he is gone if he loses, and probably if he wins. With nothing riding on it, what keeps the feud going besides (those now annoying) run-ins?

Bye Bye Matt (version II)

I have been a wrestling fan for 18 years and I only bought 5 tshirts...

Classic DX
Austin 3:16
Jericho's first Y2J tshirt
nWo Black And White
the new Hulkamania tshirt

Much of the wrestling tshirts are ugly or embarassing in my view. But Eddie's tshirts are usually very creative and I really liked Benoit's shirt with the broken arm x-ray picture.
