....after a disagreement with Coach Reid, apparently.

I hope for the Eagles sake it was something minor. I'm glad management is holding steadfast in not re-negotiating, but when does the point come where you're better off without his antics all together?

Most reports are now saying that Reid asked him to leave during a team meeting. Nobody's confirmed whether or not Reid meant for him to leave the meeting or leave camp entirely.

It was not immediately known if Owens was told to leave or left on this own accord. Owens then got his belongings and cleared out of Eagles training camp at Lehigh University, according to two television reports. He was expected to return to his home in New Jersey, Paolantonio has learned.

Paolantonio said the team meeting was about "player obligations" during training camp, including a fan autograph session. Owens had bypassed the autograph session, which had caused hard feelings among his teammates who did attend the session, and felt the wide receiver was being given special treatment.

What a bitch. I think it's safe to say that Terrell Owens is the biggest ass in sports. I give props to the Philly organization for not putting up with this crap.

Damn shame the horse collar tackle is banned now. I think it's made for guys like Owens.

Well, about the Philly fans? Put it this way...

Every TV station and newspaper has a poll going saying, "Keep him or Trade him?"

Trade him is winning.

And a local radio station parked a truck in front of his house with a banner on it, saying "TO must GO!"

He's almost reached Lindros level of hatred here in Philly. And that's a LOT of hate.

I finally know what the saying "everything happens for a reason" means now. As a Ravens fan, I was pissed that TO pitched a fit about coming here when he had the talent to make us an elite team. But I think that it's safe to say that having him in Baltimore probably wouldn't have worked out even as well as it did in Philly (which is saying something).

Mayhem is right. It is safe to say that TO is the biggest ass in all of sports right now. He's played with two winning teams that had Pro Bowl QBs and respected coaches and in both locations he's had problems with the QB, coach, and organization. Well done.

And if there is one person in all of sports that I like less than TO, it's Drew Rosenhaus. Did anyone else see the two of them on PTI yesterday, going on and on about how TO isn't being compensated fairly? The Rosenhaus line of thinking on the issue seemed to be "Give him a new contract or else he won't live up to the one that he signed before" which is pretty disgraceful. I'm no Eagles fan, but I've got to hand it to their management on not giving into his insane demands when it would have been easiest to just give him more money.

Because ... he did something wrong. Andy Reid was just trying to find out why Owens wasn't practicing with the rest of the team. And why he skipped the mandatory autograph session. Obviously he didn't like the answers he was given.

Truthfully, this incident isn't so bad. But when you add up everything TO has done, I'm tired of him. Seriously. I don't want to hear about him anymore. He reflects negatively on all professional athletes.

Be glad you don't live in the Philly area. I think on Wednesday when this story broke, the ABC affiliate had a crawl during Lost every ten minutes hyping that they would have the latest regarding TO on the news at 11. One of the aspects to this whole situation that is lost is that if we don't pay any attention to his antics and ignore him, he'll more or less just go away. Without an audience, he really doesn't have much of a show.

That said, the Eagles got their one year out of him. If this all doesn't work out, I'm sure the Eagles WR's will get by. What I'm really going to be sad about is when Westbrook leaves the team (which I have a feeling will be next year), but that explains why the Eagles drafted like they did this year.
