This is from silvervision.co.uk:

A driving guitar beat heralded his exlposion to the ring with his signature arm bands and face paint. His intensity was unparalleled. His controversial personality was equally unmatched. Learn about the man and the myth from the people who witnessed his meteoric rise to the WWE Championship in a victory against Hulk Hogan before 67,000 fans at Wrestlemania VI. Did he burn out or drop out?

Relive his feuds with "Macho Man" Randy Savage, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, Hulk Hogan and more. Find out exactly what happened at Summerslam 1991 when The Ultimate Warrior held up the WWE for more money!

90 minutes of extras, including 5 full matches and 2 easter eggs."

There´s a picture of the DVD to be found as well!

5 matches???

Sounds like only 1 disc to me!

But who cares? After all it´s only a Warrior DVD!

*still waiting for a Jericho and Austin collection*

EDIT:

Now here are the matches:

DVD Extras:

vs Terry Gibbs - Wrestling Challenge 24/10/87
vs Honky Tonk Man - Intercontinental Championship Match - Summerslam 29/8/88
vs Hulk Hogan - Title vs Title Match - Wrestlemania VI 1/4/90
vs Ravishing Rick Rude - WWE Championship Steel Cage Match - Summerslam 17/8/90
vs Macho King Randy Savage - Retirement Match - Wrestlemania VII 24/3/91

I wonder if those five matches are considered "extras", whereas there will be other matches as part of the regular DVD? Foley's Greatest Hits was set up like that, and I specifically remember (because I was watching it last night), the "90 minutes of extras" line at the bottom, yet there were at least a dozen matches on the regular program. And that one was 2 discs as well.

Otherwise.... what the hell are they thinking?

Awww man, I'm so getting this one so I can FINALLY have the Macho/Warrior retirement match on DVD...all I can say is that it better have the post match stuff on it too.

The Honky/Warrior match is so great too, just to hear the crowd go absolutely berserk when Warrior comes out. The pop when the reign of Honky is finally over still gives me chills.

EDIT: Were there any other great Warrior matches other than the ones they have listed? Signs point to no.

He had another great match with Rude at SSlam 89. Thought they might have included this squash over Hunter. Wonder who nixed that idea? Well if they would have had Warriors co-operation then it would have been 2-disc or maybe he just didn't have enough good matches to get a 2-disc?

Well I always liked his match with Savage at SummerSlam 92, and also how come they don't have any of his matches from WCW? Like his one verses Hogan, or the War Game's match where the fake Warrior came out and then later on the real one showed up.

Sounds pretty bare-bones, but may be worth buying yet.

At least they included the most important matches (debut, IC title win, World title win, best title defense, best match)

I think that there were some good matches against Mr. Perfect and Ted DiBiase worth noting and having on the DVD.

If there was ever bootleg footage of the Warrior/Flair house show matches, I'd like to see that as well. Maybe, for novelty, some of the Warrior/LOD vs Demolition 6-man tags.

I at least think it could be interesting to hear the "real" story about SummerSlam '91 and have a full section devoted to his WCW run with the "Warrior Signal" and his magic powers. Plus, all of the Warrior/Jake The Snake segments.

Those were Warrior's only two WCW matches, actually. :)

You know, as the curtain of kayfabe fell over the last decade, few genuine mysteries exist in wrestling. I was hoping - and still hope - this Ultimate Warrior DVD would at last give an answer to the only question regarding Warrior that has plagued my mind for nine years:

What the hell was the story behind the Ultimate Warrior vs. Goldust match at In Your House: Good Friends, Better Enemies back in 1996?!

To set the stage, on the same card where WWF Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Diesel in his farewell match before he jumped to WCW (the same one where Diesel ripped Mad Dog Vachon's fake leg right off him), Warrior challenged Goldust for the Intercontinental Title. Back then, Goldust and Marlena had an Usher with them, I believe. Instead of a match, a director's chair was set up in the middle of the ring and Marlena sat in it smoking a cigar while Goldust and Warrior stood on either side of her. They offered Warrior a cigar, he accepted and the three of them just stood in the ring smoking for a minute before Warrior clotheslined either Goldust or the Usher. And that was the whole fucking match!

I fear I will be forever incomplete without some clarity about what that fiasco was all about. I haven't even thought about it in years until I heard about this Warrior DVD set. That's the only thing about the Warrior I want to know.

I'll watch this Warrior DVD just hoping against hope they'll address it somehow. I bet they won't even bring it up.

IIRC, Goldust was hurt and unable to wrestle. They did the skit since they couldn't do a match.

Really?! Heh, that's interesting. I always assumed it was because Warrior wasn't very good and thought it'd be a terrific idea. It never even occurred to me it was anything out of the ordinary -- though I do remember being appalled at the time.

I'd like to see Warrior/HHH from Wrestlemania XII. Wasn't that the Warriors' WWF comeback match?

Yup, it was well hyped too. It was also the first time we saw Sable as she was Trips valet and then after he lost they did an angle with Marc Mero who debuted in a backstage segment which is so weird for a WrestleMania.

Given the choice of more Warrior matches for more money/discs, or only 4 or 5 notable matches he had and saving a few bucks...I'll take the latter.

I can't think of any (the ones listed are all I need to make the DVD a must-buy, although Rumble '91 would be nice), but if you're gonna call it The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior, it seems like you should show some of the later bad matches. You can't just end off with Warrior beating Savage and say "After that he wigged out." I suppose most of Warrior's nuttier moments didn't lead to actual matches (did he ever wrestle Papa Shango?), so they wouldn't be on this list, but I'd at least stick Halloween Havoc '98 in there just to illustrate why WWE considers him a lost cause.

I haven't seen the Road Warriors DVD yet--did they include any footage from 1998 when they were glorified jobbers? Like the Warrior DVD, the title suggested to me that they'd examine their rise and fall of the subject.

Odd that they are planning on spending the better part of the DVD saying how bad Warrior was, but then the matches on the disc are two of his best matches, one so-so match with Rude, and two squashes. I figured they'd put something like Warrior v. Andre or one of his bodybag matches with Undertaker in here. As it is, newer fans will hear how bad he is, then see good matches of his and wonder what the hell is up.

Yes, I'm complaining about good matches on the DVD. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

I read that Meltzer reported in the Observer that the plan was to put out DVDs of a bunch of older guys in the near future, and if the subjects didn't want to cooperate with WWE (i.e. Warrior, Sammartino, and formerly Bret Hart), they're going to be buried in the DVD documentary. Obviously they have to keep the good matches in there or else no one would buy the discs.

I know it doesnt´t really belong here, but the "Undertaker DVD" thread is already closed and I don´t want to open a new thread.

At WWE Shopzone they now have the Undertaker 3 disc set on preorder and they say it has 21 matches!

We already knew the following 19 matches
(from silvervision.co.uk):

Disc 1
Survivor Series 1991 vs. Hulk Hogan
Royal Rumble 1994 vs. Yokozuna
WrestleMania XII 1996 vs. Diesel
In Your House Buried Alive vs. Mankind
In Your House Revenge of Taker vs. Mankind
SummerSlam 1997 vs. Bret Hart

Disc 2
In Your House Ground Zero vs. Shawn Michaels
In Your House Badd Blood - Hell in a Cell Match vs. Shawn Michaels
WrestleMania XIV vs. Kane
Unforgiven 1998 - Inferno Match vs. Kane
King of the Ring 1998 - Hell in a Cell Match vs. Mankind
King of the Ring 1999 vs. The Rock

Disc 3
Fully Loaded 1999 - First Blood Match vs. Stone Cold
WrestleMania XVII vs. Triple H
Judgment Day 2002 vs. Hulk Hogan
No Mercy 2002 - Hell in a Cell Match vs. Brock Lesnar
Vengeance 2003 vs. John Cena
Survivor Series 2003 - Buried Alive Match vs. Mr. McMahon
WrestleMania XX vs. Kane

That means the dvd will have 2 more right now unknown matches!

On WWE Shopzone they now say:

Phenom. American Badass. Deadman. However you know him, the Undertaker’s been a four-time WWE Champion, six-time Tag-Team Champion, and a main event level Superstar. Legends, Champions, and even the owner of WWE, have bowed to his dominance, culminating in a perfect 13-0 record at WrestleMania. The three disc DVD set provides 21 of Undertaker’s best matches with additional footage and history of his many opponents…proving what legions of fans already know: the Deadman lives! Features 21 of Undertaker’s Greatest Matches: Hulk Hogan- Survivor Series 1991, Yokozuna- Royal Rumble 1994, Diesel- WrestleMania XII, Mankind- In Your House Buried Alive, Bret Hart – In Your House: One Night Only, Shawn Michaels- In your House: Badd Blood, Kane- WrestleMania XIV, The Rock- King of the Ring 1999, Stone Cold Steve Austin- Fully Loaded 1999, Triple H WrestleMania X-7, Hulk Hogan- Judgment Day 2002 and much more!! Plus lots of extras, including vignettes, interviews, and other material.

Bret Hart - In Your House: One Night Only???? That could be match number 20! From the first ever UK PPV back in 1997 I would think!

Match #21? We will see!
