I'm basically trying to create pdf files. I am a tad computer illiterate, so when I couldn't "save as" a pdf on word, and I couldn't "create new file" on acrobat, my brain exploded. It will allow you to open and save to both Word Files and PDF files. The bad part is that OpenOffice.org is about 60 MB to download. So maybe* someone else can get you going with a smaller program. EDIT: I deleted this momentarily when I could figure out how to do it. But you choose File > Export as PDF. So it can in fact do that. *Have you ever been typing a really simple word, and all of a sudden you can't remember how to spell it? That happened to me when I got to maybe. It's the weirdest thing. From word you can choose file-print and it will convert it to a PDF file.
