Sounds interesting. I'll be curious to hear Theismann without Maguire, who is going to the pregame show. | Promote this thread! | | pieman

And we'll again have a familiar voice with Al doing MNF...justice indeed. The only thing that would have ruled more, was bringing back Melissa Stark...I miss her. | Big Bad

I can only dream.
This is awful. I'd pick Maguire over Theisman any day. But, I'd also pick Dennis Miller over Theisman. Speaking of which, whatever happened to Dan Fouts? I always thought he did good work, especially as a college football analyst. A Fouts/Michaels booth would work (at least for me).

I think the old NFL Films said it all for me on ESPN Classic this morning. In the middle of a follies video, they show the old footage of Theisman grabbing a phone on the sidelines and asking for pizza. Suddenly a voiceover and graphic announce the new show "Dial M for Moron." Perfect. | redsoxnation

Fouts is still doing college football for ABC, as he does the West Coast games with Keith 'I retired 5 years ago and still haven't left' Jackson. Solid color guy who got screwed twice in NFL broadcasting: first when he was starting to do well as the #2 color guy for CBS when they lost the NFC package in '93, and then having to get taken out of the MNF package to erase the memory of Dennis Miller and to bring in Madden. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
