I wasn't sure if I liked "House of 1000 Corpses" when I first saw it, and now I think I kind of like it, but it was also a huge mess of a movie. I think my buddy summed it up best when he said "It's the perfect representation of what you'd think a movie by Rob Zombie would be".

I really liked "The Devil's Rejects". The wild camera work and jump cuts from the original seemed toned down, and Rob Zombie either hired a good editor or learned how to edit, because it flowed fairly nicely. It won't win any awards (maybe "Fangoria"), but it's a good little brutal horror/revenge flick.

William Forsythe was really good, and the Rejects were all very entertaining and brutal. I was surprised by the performance of Priscilla Barnes, having only really seen her in "Three's Company" and "License to Kill". She looks great for an almost 50 year old woman. Plus, it's fun to see some old horror favs (P.J. Soles, Ken Foree) and DDP. Yes, Diamond Dallas Page is in the movie, which apparently makes high school kids roar with laughter every time he's on camera (although one kid yelled "Do the Stinger Splash", so maybe they didn't quite know who he was).

I was thinking that they were all going to get away again, but I'm glad they didn't. The "Freebird" montage was a little hokey at the end. I was disappointed to see Sheriff Wydell die, because I'd like to see him in another movie, maybe hunting down more evil people.

Did anything happen after the credits? We had to leave, and I didn't even think about if there was some wildly weird twist at the end. Spoiler tag it.

I didn't see the first movie, and probably won't. I've heard lackluster reviews of it. But, could someone explain to me how , i think his name was "Tiny" got to be the way he was?

Did they ever explain that in the first flick?
