In any event, I think the Pacers are only one or two baby steps away from legitimately competing for the championship-- and that's assuming we're not there already. God only knows what might have happened had we actually been able to play the entire season and playoffs with our complete team, after all.
In the meantime, Milwaukee keeps their best player for $96 million, and in the event that his two (TWO!) seasons averaging more than 20 points per game were a fluke, they've screwed themselves cap-wise for the next six years.
I think Redd's a good player, and I may end up having to eat these words, but honestly-- does anyone see Michael Redd as the best player on a championsip team? | Merc
