Yes, it's a great day for our little city here in Ontario, as we have pulled off the odds and... what? London, ENGLAND?! Oh. Well, that makes more sense.
Surprised to see Paris lose again, especially since they've bid twice in the recent past and come up short. Now with this high-profile European games, they'll probably have to wait until around 2028 to get a summer games.

I knew that NY was more or less out of the running, but I'm still breathing a sigh of relief. This city is difficult on its best day and often unmanagable in the summer. I can't fathom what it would be like with Olympics in it.

It looked like a sealed deal that Madrid was going to get it a couple of months ago.
I'm sure London's Olympic victory is solely due to David Beckham's sudden decison to completely ignore that fact that he plays for Real Madrid and vouch for his real home country's final bid with the IOC.
