The deal is supposedly 5 years, $75M (at least). Nice that he's sticking around but I was hoping he'd go to Cleveland or Minnesota.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Not unexpected though. I'm just not sure who they're gonna get to pair with LeBron and Z.

I wouldn't be overly surprised if Michael Redd were to go to Cleveland, but I'd guess that the drafting of Andrew Bogut may encourage Redd to stay. We'll see.

Last I checked, CNNSI.com actually had the Pacers as a potential (albeit dark horse) suitor for Redd, which surprises me. We can't come close to affording the maximum contract he'll no doubt expect (and that he's unworthy of in my opinion, just based on the fact he hasn't actually accomplished anything yet). I know, he's averaged 20+ points in the last two seasons, but he did so for a crap team. Someone had to pick up the scoring for them. Heck, Tony Campbell averaged 20+ points for two straight seasons with the expansion Timberwolves. (I know, the Bucks are a little bit better than that-- but they're still mediocre).

I'm not trying to take anything away from Redd. I'd love to have him on the Pacers. But mark my words, someone's gonna end up overpaying for him.

Having said that, if we can find a way to get him without giving away the store (don't trade O'Neal, Jackson, Foster or Tinsley-- and don't trade Artest unless you're damn sure that's a good idea), I'll be exultant.
