He built a great Chiefs franchise, with the likes of Len Dawson, Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, Otis Taylor, Emmitt Thomas and many many more fine players. After losing to the Pack in their first Super Bowl appearance, his Chiefs kayoed Joe Kapp's miracle Vikings team.
Later he became one of many to fail to get the Saints going.
He teamed with Jack Buck on CBS Radio's football broadcasts, they were a great team.
Modern day fans will still be able to see him ranting up and down the sidelines on NFL Films broadcasts. Promote this thread! | | Roy.

When I was a kid I was a regular renter of the old NFL films stuff from our local video store. Hank was by far the most entertaining coach on the tape. And I really want a sport jacket with a Chiefs logo on it. | Zeruel

My dad was really bummed when he found out. All of the greats he watched as a 30-40 something are all passing away. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
